If anyone goes to Oxford you should try going into a college, there are plenty to see. The museums are amazing, and the covered market is fun.

I do find, that whenever I go back to Oxford, I always find something new I'd never seen before. It's a small city, but there are so many hidden gems, gorgeous parks, and gardens, beautiful walks, a lovely indoor market (a foodies paradise), TONS of history to be explored. I don't think you got the full experience, but glad you got to go, I hope you go again and discover more, you could find new things daily. I also hope Torie does more research and finds out more about the history of the city she lives in.

Lovely bumping into you at the train station in Oxford! If you’re ever back in Oxford, I’d love to show you inside some of the colleges and show you our formal hall dinners 😄love your videos! -from a fellow American living in England

Thank you Paige for being our unofficial freedom Rider showing us Americans the freedom trail to the UK. Don't be shocked if some of us make that journey. I can follow breadcrumbs... Don'tget it twisted. Ok let me sit back and watch the video. Totally enjoyed this video. And to be honest the areas outside London seem friendlier and more beautiful than London itself. I've lived in big cities like Los Angeles and Manhattan and they definitely have their qualities. But a beautiful looking township in reasonable driving distance to a large city offers an incredible balance to life. Oxford is all that and a bag of chips.

The weird hill is part of the original castle: it was built in around 1050, and would have originally had a stone or wooden 'keep' on top, which was a kind of lookout post/fortification. If you google 'motte and bailey castle' you will see images of how it would once have looked.

Torie seems such a fun person! So was the boat chauffer guy- he should have a KZbin channel as a boat guide. Thank you for showing us Oxford, Paige- have never been before myself and have added it to the list. Another awesome video 💜💜💜💜

I live in Oxford, it was cool seeing it through your eyes. Not been punting for ages...I agree it would have been nice with a drink of something lol. If you plan on taking lots of trips on the train a railcard might save you some money if you've not got one already. It's £30 for a year and you get 1/3 off the cost of most journeys after 9.30am. Happy exploring! :)

Magpie tradition is very much a Cornish thing, there is even a little rhyme that goes along with seeing them, 1 for sorrow, 2 for joy, 3 for a girl, 4 for a boy, 5 for silver, 6 for gold, 7 for a secret never to be told, 8 for a kiss, 9 for a wish. Can’t remember what 10 is. When you see one you salute them and greet them. It’s deffo not mainly a midlands thing, the guy is talking out of his bum.

TBF, we do have a very nice Primark - although, if you film, they might think you're making a documentary about the Indian slave trade, and the dubious fast fashion policies they're involved in. Next time you come, if in vacation times, go to university rooms.com and stay at Trinity (near the Bod, which you visited). Also, our two city museums are worth a visit, Jericho and Port Meadow.
