So much to do here. Was in okaboji for four days and still not enough time to do everything they have everything except for one thing that would make a killing…. Ready for this entrepreneurs….ICE CREAM PARLOR! I’m not talking about the nutty bar stand which is indeed good but I’m talking great ice creams like Rocky Road, sherbet, toasted almond fudge and so on. You can find 7 different coffee shops tons of fine dining for everyone but it is hard to find an ICE CREAM PARLOR that stands out if there is one. Who ever puts one of these in has an instant wealth machine. Hope to see one in 2022!

Gotta say the Emporium is a must. Couple good restaurants and fun shops too. Mini golf next to the amusement park is fun too. So much more too!!

Hey, good vid. Our family use to go there back in the 50's. Had a relative who owned a home on Okoboji lake. Just down the path was a boat house for the Lake patrol boats. I'm not sure of the Patrolman's name today but I think it Gus or Guy. He would take us little kids out on the lake for a tour. When you showed pics of inside the museum, there was one boat on display that looked like the one he had. My relatives name was Vern Gaskin. Had some great times there when we visited form Austin Minn. Looks like Arnolds park has improved greatly from the 50's. LOL. Still have relatives that live at Spirit Lake. Thanks, will try to get back there on our next trip.

You won’t be disappointed it’s great for families with kids or for Mom and Dad to just get away alone. When my wife and I leave the kids back at the hotel with grandma and grandpa we eat fancy then we play mini golf and have a margarita at the mini golf while we play then head next door to the world famous bare foot bar.

Been to big destinations and Vegas, Stone Mountain Georgia and other destinations and Okaboji Iowa is one of the greats. To be honest I’m not much of a gambler and I’d give okaboji the upper hand over Vegas. There for four days and still didn’t get to see everything.

Have you ever run across the Freeman Family? The White Family name was big in that area of Iowa. Rolfe was my second home with my Grandparents. Otherwise I was in Austin. Ok, later. Dave
