That was fun to watch. My Great Grandmother was a Grant, she descended from Peter Grant who was sent to Boston and sold as an indentured servant around 1650 after being captured at the Battle of Dunbar.

My Sunday morning breakfast treat after my night shift. Great new location. Ed's cameo role searching for stones a comedy classic. Looking forward to seeing the new Skye trip.

Really enjoyed this video, thank you for the tour. Stumbled across while bored during self-isolation. My family are born and raised New Zealand, my granny was a Grant so it really cool watching this like a virtual heritage walk. 😁😁.

Hi Kim, couple of things for me...firstly ...In these “lockdown days discovering your channel is a breath of fresh air ! Given we can’t go to these types of places, for now. It’s great just to feel we are a part of your “Adventures” shared with such enthusiasm 👌. Second .....your “Grant” lands in particular Rothiemurchus owned by the Grants....Hhmmmmm ? (Even back then “Government tax was a very useful Tool) Am guessing you know my surname now 🤣🤣....Keep up the great content & Your cheery passion for our lands....Stay safe 🥃🏴

What a great history and acting lesson and not a camera in sight! well that made a change from the norm, I just cant wait to see a whisky distillery tour! and dont tell me you are teetotal, I have never been to that area and it was a pity it was a dull day, I just wonder how long and why that massive Redwood tree had been there, thanks for sharing.....I look forward to seeing your Skye trip and best of luck with your future workshops....

Thank you for another lovely video. Being a softy Sassenach, I am used to the idea of being part of a family, but not the idea of an actual clan. We sort of associate Scotland with the notion of clans, but I have never really thought of someone that I "know" (albeit via KZbin, not in the real world) actually being a part of the clan system..... And happy birthday for a couple of days time!

Thank you Kim for taking us up that hill. We have visited that area many times but have never seen that path. We usually park in the car park near the tourist info so I guess I should pop in there and ask about it next time we go. The views were great from up there. I loved Ed looking for stones :D By the way the end was so so so funny I loved it ;D however Kim you did not need to be frightened Nessie likes girls it's just boys she eats for supper ;D Loved it thank you for giving us a good laugh :D Teddy

I've been to the tourist info carpark several times too and only found this walk online a few weeks ago. I didn't know it existed either. It's on the walking Highlands website.

But ooh those views were just beautiful beautiful & beautiful! Lol Had to say it 3 times, just so impressed! What is this…"The Loch Ness Monster Project"…? 😄 Anyway, fun video, and I hope you have/had a great birthday (since I have no idea of the gap between making and uploading this). @sgurrtours5 жыл бұрын
If you're still on Skye on Wednesday 10th and you see a Timberbush minibus that's me driving it for a tour for my new job 😁😁👍👍 So many places around Lochness not many folk know about. Did you know about John Cobb who tried to break the water speed record in 1952 reaching 240mph before the jet boat hit a freak wave and took a nose dive killing him which happened right opposite Urquart castle. Fact of the day for you, you can see the video on KZbin. 😁 Did he hit a freak wave or was it Nessie?? 🤔
@kimgrantphotography5 жыл бұрын
I left Skye on Monday the 1st but I hope you're first tour went well and wish you all the best with your new venture. Ooh no I didn't know about that attempted record break! thanks for the fact of the day. Sounds like you're going to make an ace tour guide :)
