A half hour sequence is an excellent format for busy people. This particular combination leaves me feeling with the whole body relaxed. Thanks Olivia.

1min in and I'll save it for a follow along. This will be great for me, looking forward to it. I've been having great fun on my balance ball using my hips as a fulcrum, I should have kept my space hopper ! However I note on watching footage that off the ball my hips are heavy. I have little confidence in side bending and am certain that after following along some will emerge and start to grow. Thanks so much for these immersive fly on the wall demo's the last one I watched showed me that I REALLY did want to learn the arch body hold, in fact when I planted my chest on my balance ball I was able to find a nice position to explore a planche positions with my hands deloaded bent on the floor. What do I hope to gain when I follow this ? The ability to reach for cup in a poorly designed chair and not to feel the pain in my lower back for three weeks if I am inattentive. It's so nice to have simple routine that isn't quite a drill but which can educate us gently as we build a habit slowly. Practicing moving consciously is a great way to supplant a habit with not just a one size fits all approach but instead OPTIONS !

Thanks. I'm always happy to take another class or lesson with you. The beginning stretches (starting at about 2:30) that were meant for the spine, I felt most intensely in my hips. Is it possible I had my legs spread too wide?

Hi there, Olivia here. Possibly. If by hips you mean the muscles at the back of the hips, try relaxing them rather then tensing them to keep the knees wide. Cheers, Olivia

Piriformis. We have a number of excellent stretches for this muscle here, and more information on our site, above.
