Great video. We need more content like this, maybe a series? Great to see other well built vehicles!

I've still got my tub with a steel topper on top. Ended up being the same price as one of those really cheap and nasty trailer/canopy setups but I wouldn't want them. Best part is being able to use the magnet stubbie holders (there's a hint...) and weather proof!! Wish I had a roof top tent though.

Hey mate, what steel topper you running. Cheers

Great video. I've got a 2011 Isuzu DMax - same shape (last shape in this generation). Like you guys, I only have a tub on the back and greatly inspired to do something similar with my vehicle - but I prob wont sleep on top. I have a 160w solar panel ready to go with a car fridge etc - in which I'll use the back in a similar way. I want to get similar wheel hubs and push the tyres outwards a little and do a body lift (already have springs on the back which do a 2" lift). Keep up the good work. Neil.

Great set up. What spacing did you use with your roof rack, for mounting your tent. Garages are 2.4 what is the closed hight of your tent to get into a garage. 👍

hey mate how does he go with roof load rating with the rtt, does he have extra bracing?

but wear do you put the solar wires from roof to tub as this is what i need to know thank you

Hey mate, how's the weight of the Drifta RTT with the roof? Is it very heavy ? Suppose you just tour in that and not much 4wd'ing?
@boba40833 жыл бұрын
Good example of making it work for you without selling a kidney. Only concern would be weight on cabin roof. Well done.

Great clip bud.....just a shame another person though putting illegal LED lights in, doesn’t do any favours for the 4x4ing sector Keep up the good work 👍

@@4WheelingInNSW I thought that when watching the clip. See too many on the road, up high, too bright and as you say, illegal.

@@boba4083 that’s it mate and it just drives another mail in the 4by’ coffin. Just like out on the tracks mate, the more that do the right thing, the less reasons to blitz us all. 😉👍

Have looked and not one video shows or informs how to move a dual cabin hard canopy from one place to take home after I bought it. Can you tell or show please as a matter of urgent please. I have the ute but also have a 6x4 trailer

ive got a pj ranger i,ve had since new and enjoy seeing guys using your utes couple of questions , where did you guys get your ranger re mapped and how much was it? do you get any problems with it and recommend it? ive noticed that you both have fridges with protruding handles ,theyre held on by a couple of bolts either handle , if you remove the handles you can cut a steel plate with a couple of holes in it using the same footprint of the handles, sandwich a leather strap to replace the protruding handles and you will gain about 70 mm in storage space

Hi Ross, I had it remapped by Reaper Performance Diesel here in Perth, it cost around $1250 and they did a fantastic job. Power was up from 105hp to 160hp and torque up from 320nm to 420nm (engine completely stock otherwise). Economy also improved, going from around 12.5L/100km to 11L/100. Great idea regarding the fridge handles, thanks for that!

@@explorebound great channel , i bought my pj brand new and being my first and only new car have never trusted myself to have a go at doing most things on it but seeing it done has made me realise how easy things are .

Old vid, so doubt I'll get a reply, but how did the fridge go in the hard lid? I'm looking at a similar setup, but a bit iffy on the lack of air circulation running a fridge in an enclosed space

Hey mate, he ran his fridge in the back like that for years without any issues at all 👍

Could you please ask james a few questions for me? I have the same Colorado. -Do you have a re-occurring squeak coming from the front hub? (Not wheel bearings) -Also with bigger tyres did you have to modify the cassis where the body mounts too behind the front wheel for clearance?
@MrBIGgoobz2 жыл бұрын
Idk if you ever resolved this mate but I've had an RC and a gen 1 dmax, both have had the small retaining clips in the brakes shift slightly and contact the rotor. It's quite common, that'd be worth checking
