Corruption as a result of the Darkhold Agatha is a woman of curiosity and experimentation, which we discover in Episode 8 whenever she is trying to figure out what makes Wanda so powerful. We see she is punished for this by her coven during the flashback of the episode, where she had learned about magic restricted by the coven. As well as that, Agatha mentions in the finale "There will always be pitchforks for ladies like us, Wanda," meaning she's also been hunted just for being a witch. Similar to Wanda's journey, she's become disconnected from others due to being rejected by her family and the rest of the world, which gives reason to her lack of care. As for my other point, we've seen that the Darkhold clearly corrupts its user to do terrible things. While I don't enjoy the portrayal of Wanda in MoM because of it falling into stereotypes, the Darkhold's corruption of Wanda was still set up in the post credits scene of WandaVision itself. The affects of the Darkhold keep the magic user's goals intact, but forces them down a more malicious route to obtain those goals. So no. Agatha is not a character being evil for the sake of evil.

The thing is, Agatha could have gotten away with taking all of Wanda's magic if she hadn't revealed what Wanda could do. Runes have meaning and symbolizm to them. The runes Agatha uses all relate to protection and such. Wanda may or may have not known what a rune was or how it exactly worked so she may think she needs to learn magic better. Granted, Agatha did teach Wanda that in a given space only the Witch who cast the runes could use her magic but she never taught her how the runes exactly worked. What Agatha said that gave Wanda the ability to win was telling Wanda the prophecy of what the Dark Hold said as well as what she could do. Spontaneous Creation, No need for Incantions, No covens and Chaos Magic as well as being aware of her reality warping powers gave Wanda that idea that she could create whatever she wanted and it would act in the way she intended it for. I believe one or more of the runes Wanda casted may have not been an actual Rune yet her Rune trap by using the hex still worked. If Agatha hadn't ranted to Wanda of all the things Wanda could do then Wanda would have never gotten the idea and realization she can just make whatever she wanted and give it purpose despite everything else.

I absolutely love the design for her Magic. Ususually in live acton, they never do the glowy hand thing, or they make their Magic never emit any form of energy so it always looks kinda lame (Charmed, Sabrina (The Netflix series), here both Wanda and Agatha look like Gwen Tennyson flying around like cartoon characters (and looking realistic af doing it. Marvel has perfected humans flying on camera), and throwing energy balls like cartoon characters with glowly hands and eyes. Cool af.

"When the best new MCU character is introduced as a way to push forward scarlet witch before Only one whose new and can top Kathryn Hath as Agatha Harkness is...well we already got Joe Locke as Wiccan. Hope they both return for "Vision Quest" as the idea of both finding his brother and "white vision" wherever he went and making it like a trilogy rather than the disconnected messes (minus Wanda/Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange 2, especially because they keep hinting she's alive and returning, hopefully for a solo film, and give Agatha a cameo and have everyone be there maybe even dr. strange cameo). Hope it's out by 2026. But at least they seem to understand that we don't need typical MCU fights now to enjoy a series, the witches road led to many things andi it was awesome. The fact I can even watch it and have so much praise to "Agatha All Along" when "The Penquin" is brilliant and airing too is a testament both Marvel and DC can make great content when they don't treat there properties like goofy committee meeting disjointed messes. I hope the refilming and changes made before they were definitely about to ruin Daredevil work out for "Born Again" in March/April 2025 in the meantime! But when Agatha has her full powers she can do pretty much anything but in Agatha All Along, currently she doesn't have powers so the only way she can get it back is to go in the witches road. Well In the comics Wanda started off only knowing of probability spells, which is just another way of saying good-luck bad-luck spells, but other than that she only ever had the basic psychic abilities like flying or telekinesis or aura projection Agatha did teach her the rest of what she knew of magic. So even though both versions of Wanda are more powerful that both versions of Agatha, the more important part is that Agatha could always outsmart her anytime she wanted
