Great video ! It was surprising to be able to see the series of individual pools making up the complete waterfall. How did you attribute the "disconnection" fault to the HDMI module ?
@NeverMindYourOwn7 жыл бұрын
Trial and error. I changed the the USB cable and the error kept coming. So at one point I decided to entirely remove the HDMI-module, since that's the one that has the USB connection as well. And that seemed to solve the problem so far.

UAV XTC That is a real shame about no pictures when shooting video. I was surprised my Mavic wouldn't do it since my cheap Hubsan H501S sports that capability! Surely it's just a firmware setting, but I wonder what the thinking is? 🤔
@uavxtc12967 жыл бұрын
Seems to work like my DSLR, when in Video mode, I can take a snap but it's a 1080 frame from the video, I suppose a snap from a 4k video fame is quite reasonable if you don't want to print in massive poster scales, but then again I presume the snaps are in JPG, not raw which is a shame. Like you say, this might be a future firmware fix depending on the demands, the situation Peter was in with a fantastic landscape, having the ability to snap a raw pic while videoing would be a massive plus

The photos turn out to be just screenshots :-(. I didn't had time to mod the P4P, because I got it right before the trip. Also DJI says the range has improved, so I want to test that out first. But if all is right I will do a mod on this one too.

It's technically impossible to take a "photo" while recording. Imagine your shutter is taking all those 30 frames per second, so the photo your taking is basically just one of all those frames of the video. And because those frames are optimized for video, you're better off stoping the recording and then taking the photo as you wish, with the shutter speed you need for the situation for a still photo, in full resolution.

Great filming! I have recently purchased a P4 Pro + and have watched many of your videos. I have a Question? Will the mist from the clouds or the spray from the waterfalls damage the motors if they are breached, if so how do you clean them after a flight and is there any lubricant or cleaner to use? Thanks again, May G-d Bless you and your brother on your quests!

I felt quite nervous watching your ac flying over that deep and steep canyon, with so many very tall trees! Two weeks ago my ac decided to lower itself (maybe even dropped) onto a 90 foot tall fir tree... in my own neighborhood. We tried several attempts to snag it using a second ac (I'm trying to avoid using the d word to keep word police from complaining). For a number of reasons such a rescue couldn't be done. With rain forecast at any time, I felt compelled to hire a young man who climbs such trees professionally. His service was costly, but very soon after bringing it down to earth, the rains began. Today I test fly it to see if everything works properly. I am making a short video of the rescue. Anyway, just seeing how impossible it would be to recover your dro... ac if it had fallen down into that Very Scary Place, made me squirm in my chair. I'm happy you safely returned after recording a beautiful scene. Thumbs up as usual.

Robert Skip Curran what's wrong with saying drone
@robertskipcurran84017 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think "drone" is acceptable, but there are some who will feel it necessary to correct anyone who calls a quad-copter a drone. Some say you should refer to them as UAVs, or aircraft. I was making a little joke about the word police stepping in.

Peter shouldn't it get better if you fly 2.4ghz? i had 5.8 disconnected at 100m+ distant!
@NeverMindYourOwn7 жыл бұрын
Yes, 5.8 Ghz has lesser range. But the error is different. When you lose signal, the drone will RTH. In this case it says the aircraft is disconnected, but you can still control it and I still see the video in the goggles. So it means the aircraft somehow disconnected from the APP and not from the transmitter.

Another great video really enjoyed it. I love the way you leave your Disconnections etc in your videos as I fly similar missions and keep getting disconnections and pixilating at times, so its good to know its not just me and there's nothing wrong with my gear. I have posted in forums about my disconnections etc only to have people say that they have never had those problems and my gear is faulty or chase my tail in the settings etc, turns out all these Adventurous Thrill Seeking Fun Police that own a drone believe its not about flying it - its all about quoting rules and regulations on forums etc, I say get a life to them and turn beginners mode off you fools and enjoy flying like NeverMindYourOwn does. Keep the good work up NeverMindYourOwn and I'm looking forward to more of your vids.

Peter, DJI GO 4 App crashing has nothing to do with HDMI module that I can tell. I have the P4 and P4P. Between the two, I have three tablets, 2 are Androids, one being the Nvidia Sheild K1 with "HDMI out" like yours, another is the Nexus 7, both running Android 7 and both have software crashing several times during each flight. The configuration of the two drones is the P4 (not having the module) and the P4P (having the HDMI module). I think more it has to do with incompatibility with Android 7 and Go 4 App. I did not have a problem with Android 6 software version, Crashing problem started immediately with the introduction of Go 4 App and the Android 7 updates that came out in similar time frame. I have tried everything to fix. From the research I have done, it is Android 7 with Go 4 App compatibility issue, but roll back Android to version 6 is not easy to do and I was considering factory resetting the Android tablets to Android 5 and just doing the version 6 update (but not so easy to do). It is so frustrating to have to reconnect the crashing Go4 App (it's not a big deal to restart, but so frustrating......) I purchased an iPad mini 4 with LTE 4 cell internet (my 3rd Tablet I mentioned above). The Apple IOS works flawlessly with DJI Go 4 App and the interface is nicer I feel than the Android version. The HDMI Module on the P4P works flawlessly as well with my Fatsharks. So for now, I use the iPad as my main tablet. I ordered the DJI Goggles, ship date is early July I hope. While the P4 series does not have OcuSync (Mavic Pro and Spark compatible) the "USB out" cable will provide a wired controlled interface connection and if just wanting a "video connection" the HDMI port is available. I love your videos and you talking through the videos explaining your thoughts and showing your drone flying with the beautify videos. Fellow Dutchman from the USA, Arend "Addy" Overbeeke
@NeverMindYourOwn7 жыл бұрын
Indeed the app crashing is not related to the HDMI-module. But the aircraft disconnecting is! These are two different problems. My work around is this: always delete all DJI apps and folders before installing the latest update (to prevent app crashes); don't use the hdmi-module (to prevent disconnections).
@AddyOverbeeke7 жыл бұрын
Oh..... Hmmm, I'm not experiencing the disconnect problems with HDMI module, only the App crashing. What happens when you get the disconnect? Does the drone start its "return to home"? What do you do next, repower on the RC and restart the App and cancel return to home? I'm curious that why I'm asking the questions. Thanks Peter.
