I can't explain how happy I am to finally get to see inside this beautiful house. I've been photographing her for over 10 years now and have never once stepped foot inside. She's absolutely stunning and everything I've dreamed she'd be. It's always been my dream to one day buy her and save her from the decay, to turn her back into the home she is. I wanted to thank you for being so respectful in how you spoke of her when you were touring. Obviously older homes have their quirks, like makeshift bathrooms... but that doesn't make them any less beautiful, so again, thank you

Well this makes me very happy. Honestly, it was one of those places that just gave off a comforting and safe vibe.

@@RiddimRyder I can't explain how happy it made me tonight to see this house. This house means a lot to me. I'm glad you could feel the same comforting energy this house has given me over the last decade. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I really hope anyone else who goes to photograph her, are just as respectful.

Hi, Kimberly from upstate NY. Great job on this one. Such a beautiful palate of wonderful colors and natural decay. Mother nature had a hand in this one! Great find!👍🏚🏘

That sowing machine with it own light is an interesting piece never seen one like that the lights are always smaller. That toilet is very crude, the blue one looked ok. lots of pint peels. This house is very old it has high wide skirting, it looks great from the outside Thanks for the video Jamie.

It seems that most basements in Canada eventually flood so why have basements at all?
@RiddimRyder Жыл бұрын
Good observation! Originally they were for cold cellars & usually have a sum pump to keep the water out!
@billstill1794 Жыл бұрын
Must have a high water table there? Down here in Pennsy we also have a sump pump which went into use only once I've been living there because of remnants of a hurricane 10 years ago. Been lucky so far!.@@RiddimRyder

It's a shame that the house is rundown. In it's day was something to live in. The Singer Sewing Machine is from at least the 1950's. It could be older than that. The refrigerator is at least the 1950's too! I'm surprised they never updated the bathroom. Especially on the second floor. Because a lot of care went into painting and wallpapering the inside. The very last back room on the first floor. If it had breeze area openings. It might have been original a Summer Kitchen.

I actually have a personal connection to this place, my wife grew up down the street, and I know some scary stories about it if you're interested! Maybe a follow-up video with the history? I can back everything up, too. Some of it I don't even want to write here, but I can email or message you elsewhere if you're interested.

Very cool. I'm not gonna post my email publicly, nor should you, but if you comment on the blog, the comments are moderated. Then, when I return home from vacation, I can reply!

@@RiddimRyder Yeah that's good advice, I was trying to figure out how to direct you to my email without listing it here, but I am currently working on a new site and don't have it up there yet. Just hit me up here whenever you're ready. I can tell you part of it that is of public record, the original owner of the house back in the 1900s had a mysterious death in the family. It was either the owner himself or his brother who lived in a similar home up the road that is still occupied who had a spouse disappear, later found in a ditch nearby. I believe this was in the 1920s? I'll try to find a link to that article. Also, as for why it is abandoned, I confirmed with the township a few years back it was purchased to make room for expansion of the road it sits on, but they ended up starting the work further up the road and they aren't sure what to do with it now. I wanted to buy it many years ago, but I believe it is beyond my ability to save now.

I’d also be super interested in hearing all the history you know about this lovely house. I’ve been photographing her for over 10 years now. She’s a beautiful home and the energy is out of this world.

@@briray92 I will have to speak with OP first, as I don't want to post details that could reveal its exact location without their permission. Also...if you'd like to continue seeing it as a beautiful home with positive energy, you may not want to know the history. Everything I know about it is horrific and depressing, including my personal experience with it.
@briray927 ай бұрын
@@atomicerectus I’ve been photographing this home for over 10 years, I know where it is. Before I replied to your comment, when this video originally went up I made a comment to OP about how I was thankful on how respectful he was in his video. My comment is still up. I’d love to know the history, no matter what it is. If you don’t want it public until OP replies, I’m happy to give you other ways to contact me.
