This is a straightforward, serviceable design. I am noticing that the current trend across these home design channels is to include entries that offer an aesthetically pleasing open unit with a few hooks and a few cubbies for footwear. For the purposes of staging, the hooks might display a picturesque hat or light cardigan. The reality of living in a country with hard winters is heavy parkas/anoraks, hats, gloves, heavy boots that are often still wet from snow or slush as well as other storage needs. Items won’t be tastefully displayed which is why we tend to have enclosed entry closets. Something I encourage designers to think about as they plan homes for four seasons. A spacious, decorative laundry room or pantry is nice but the practicalities of a functional entry are just as if not more important. This isn’t a knock of these designs but a consideration. I love these home design channels honestly.

I would move it to the door out to the carport & make it a bit smaller. Who wants that by their front door?? Also, turn the bar/coffee area into a closed pantry. The built in’s for the guests bedrooms I would make solid. I don’t want to see into my closet.

As a mom of 4 kids, I like that the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are large enough to hold 2 separate beds each.

You read my mind! Pantries are great for storing foods, the "good" dishes, serving pieces and appliances that you use only occasionally. If they have a counter, you can set up your slow cooker there and it won't be in the way as you prepare the rest of the meal. Another thing missing in many plans is a closet for mops, brooms, vacuums - and maybe an ironing board.

Camera walk throughs are too jerky and do not give you a full representation of the layout. Moving the camera vertically and flying through flowers are a distraction and waste of time.
