I guess I missed the back story on these, but someone in the comments said they were used for target practice. I kinda thought so. How much acreage was or still is owned by the Air Force then? Excellent video!

I'm unsure of how many acres the military owned, but it was quite a bit. They had wooden life-sized replicas of an aircraft carrier and submarine in addition to these in the area, but those wooden replicas would have been a little bit north of where we were.

If this area was used for target practice from the planes i wonder if there is any unexploded ammunition or some kind of explosives they dropped and didn't explode😮. Be careful and thanks for sharing.

There was, still could be a few. It's a huge hunting area now. I believe there was more of that near where the life-sized wooden replica of an aircraft carrier was that was also for target practice . It was a little north of where we were, but nothing is left of that.
