More attention definitely needs to be given to this topic and to Black Latinos / Afro Latinos in general. I find it hilariously sad that many people have a Eurolatin culture and look in mind when Latin America is mentioned. ❤

Interesting topic! Did you know that the 2nd president of Mexico was black? Vicente Guerrero. Although I may not be black myself, I am very dark complexed and my daughter is even darker than me. Unfortunately in Mexico City, she was overlooked for good job opportunities because she wasn’t tall & fair skinned (she has dual citizenship) and has bachelor’s (U.S. education).
