What an incredible trip, a trip of a lifetime. Thanks for bringing us along so we could also see how gorgeous Alaska is. My hubby has always said he wanted to go, I’ll have to show him this. So lucky to have great friends with you to enjoy the whole thing together.

Thanks so much for this video - it’s wonderful! We went on a land/sea Alaska tour last year and after watching this it’s a great reminder that I should do a video with music and all the pictures I have! I’ll have to do some research and figure out how to make that happen! I’m so glad you had such a great trip and the fact that Chris and Miriam were able to go with you was icing on the cake…or maybe I should say whipped cream on the Keto Brick! 😂❤

Some friends and I went on a road trip to Alaska starting from Dawson Creek, BC about 25 years ago. It was in April and the weather was wonderful but it was too early to do much hiking. However, the bugs weren't out yet, so that was a blessing. Saw lots of wildlife, including whales and orca from the ferry back to BC (Prince Rupert). It was a fabulous trip!

Hey TA - you can request a kettle for your cabin on almost ANY cruise ship, especially those that do the UK/EU runs. While they're over the pond the cabins have them as part of their standard kit. Most voyages out of US ports do not have the kettles present but are available for the asking. We always take instant coffee, teas, Keto Brainz, protein powder, collagen, SaltT, etc. with us when we cruise as well as a frother and our travel mugs.

P.S. Although you BOTH do so much to help us with so much information, I have to acknowledge Joe for how EXTREMELY talented and knowledgeable he is in so many areas. THANK YOU.

We spent six weeks on Ovation of the Seas in Australia and New Zealand for a B2B2B. Due to the vendors stocking the ship in Sydney, Australia, there was NO REAL BUTTER on the ship at all. We were appalled! The food was not real good due to their vendors in Sydney. Other than that, the ship was alot of fun and of course the itinerary was priceless!

I always click on your videos, but I do not ever want to cruise. Shh! Do not tell Fronnie that you came close to changing my mind. All the things were so well documented. The editing was superb.

We've been to Alaska twice already. Just LOVE it! When we hiked at Mendenhall Glacier we had a mama bear with two cubs after us. Other people on the trail told us they had seen the bear after us. We made lots of noise to detract the bears. What a beautiful place! So excited to go on the Low Carb Cruise and explore more of Alaska!

The North Star seems awesome. Great videos of your trip. Juneau is the place to take a whale watching tour. When we went in 2023, we booked a whale watching tour and we saw the whole group of whales do their bubble net fishing. It was amazing.

Did u see any moose? When we were in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2008 we saw Moose on the side of the road, we slowed down to actually see them a foot from our car. Beautiful animals.

Would love to see a few more details about ordering extra packages for the low carb crews. Have never cruised before. Is there a cruise specific number or just by dates or how do you associate the cruise with the package that you’re trying to buy on Black Friday? TIA.

NO way I'd be standing on that glass. I'd have nightmares. By afternoon I'd be in the gambling room pulling a one armed bandit. I have never gone in a gym in on a ship. Only been on one ship. Carnival. I still have my gold plastic ship i won in the slot competition. Was able to pay my friend back for the cruise tickets I had to borrow. My daughter had won the plane fair at a bar, and gave me and her brother the tickets. Taxes not included. Always a catch. If I make it to Florida ever, I want to find a place for the RV to be safe and spend a week or more cruising. Be so awesome.

So, there is the problem which drive me to stay in the casinos. I didn't know one had to pay extra and book everything ahead. I didn't even KNOW what they offered. So when we landed at Bahamas I wanted to swim with dolphins. Booked. Best we could do was get off at Nassau and go look at the pink hotel and the Atlantis museum and under glass tunnel aquarium. That was cool. The edge of most of the shore at Nassau or Bahamas is sharp and deep not a lot of beach. The beach areas were all private motels. It was fun but difficult because of lack of knowledge about how cruises work. If I had it to do again, probably wouldn't be able to afford to do any extras. Everything you did other then be on the ship and eat, and use the exercise room and pools. All the off ship stuff including the hike cost extra money. Us skid row cruiser folks just want to get on the ship go someplace and stay on the ship free of any extra charges. I think entertainment is extra, like shows and musicals. All needing to be booked way ahead of time. I had no idea about any. I would need to inquire next time I get to cruise, if they have a list of events times, the stops planned and price to participate in off ship activities. Then make sure I book way ahead of the cruise. There should be a book called going on boat cruises for dummies.
