Subscribe please and leave a comment. This was my first visit to Amersham. It was really pleasant to escape the London buzz for a short while. Amersham is charming and calm, there seems to be a holiday spirit to the place.., maybe that was the weekend feeling.

You should check out Old Amersham, very traditional and lots of nice places to eat/drink.

I assume this is the "new" part of Amersham. Some of my ancestors lived in Amersham at different times between the 18th and 19th centuries. They seemed to be settled at Little Missenden as early as 1525.
