That’s the old Highlands Baptist Hospital. There was a tunnel that connected to the police dept. I grew up in Louisville, there’s some cool urban areas , but over the years some of these places have been demolished, such as the Charlestown Ammunition plant, which was massive. In my younger years, and when I was about your age, I used to sneak around the infamous Waverly Asylum. That was before it become a tourist attraction. One night I stumbled upon a trailer that served as the security guard hangout. I went the other way fast. I liked waverly better then- dark, decrepit, full of mystery. Now, not so much.

@@uninhabitedexplorations One of the most insanely lucky things that's ever happened to me that I never even talk about is how I just so happened to jump the fence and run over to the ONE PLACE on the entire building that had an open window within reach. I didn't even know if I'd have a way in initially, I just got insanely lucky that it was there and that's I'd just happened to wander to the right spot so I wouldn't be exposed too long 😂

Damn...awesome explore with a nailbiter ending! I saw your thumbnail and assumed it was a hospital; turned out it had been back in the day. Those pamphlets were definitely in Cyrillic; the Russian (or Ukrainian) alphabet. Love how you *pretended to turn off your gopro; I'm guessing the guy was private security, and thought you were one of the scrappers...they must've had eyes on the dudes with the saw. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and be careful out there! 👍😁

Okay, nice! I was just wondering because there is an abandoned school and mall here in Leavenworth and both have been left vacant for years. The mall opened up in 1967 and I think it closed down in the early 2000’s. The school is called Sumner Elementary and was a segregated school. It closed not long after Brown vs the Board of Education. Both are very rich in history and it would be cool to see a video of the two!

Well now, that'll get your blood pumping!! I think you foreshadowed everything when you saw the scrappers and said that's how would may be caught. Because truck guy at the end asked who your buddy was, he was obviously on their trail and caught you. You were careful as always, but were caught because of other schmucks who didn't have the common courtesy to video their scrapping activities! oh yeah, when you did the over the edge shot...I got the woo-woos, I think that's the technical term 😳

Awesome video definitely have to watch out for the crazy people here in Louisville since everyone can carry a gun you don’t know who you can run into I want to start exploring here in Louisville like you have but I don’t trust the people or the cops here
@cryptiedan2 ай бұрын
Its not the guy in the truck's building either. Mr. Trying to be important and teach a lesson. Why one earth did you thank him when he cursed at you multiple times? He's got no life. A power trip type person.
@lc83392 ай бұрын
the guy at the end not even introducing himself as security or owner of the building is a big red flag. that's like someone pulling you over on the road and pretending to be a cop with 0 proof of actually being one. its also pretty odd that he is saying that he had you on camera in the building, and that he was sure that it was you, and not scappers or homeless. also, comparing a mulit-year abandoned office building to a house that someone lives in is crazy. no shit its gunna be a problem if someone breaks into your house, but if someone breaks into a vacant and decayed abandoned building, whats the problem? are you gunna break it more then it already is? for future reference, you could look up your laws for recording, depending on the state, you may not need the other persons permission to record them. in Kansas, where that took place, you weren't required to turn off ur gopro. kansas is a 1 party state, so you had all the right to record the guy in the car without his consent
