My wife has been a teacher in this district (Cincinnati Public Schools) for 24 years and taught at this school a couple of years before it was permanently closed. The building was in such terrible condition that they relocated all the staff and students before the end of the school year it was closed. In contrast, the school at which she has spent most of her tenure (Western Hills High School - home of Pete Rose, RIP, and my mother’s) was built the year before Heberle and is very well taken care of. Architecturally, schools will never be built like this again. Hopefully, the developer that currently owns this property will be able to resurrect the building back to its original glory. On a side note, I used to be a project manager for a company that was under contract to CPS. I was called over to this building around the time it was being sold. I was given a guided tour and vividly recall that bowed wood flooring.

if i were in that situation my most important items would be tied to me by a piece of fishing line in my inner pocket, helps when you drop something and will snap off if you get caught on something so it doesn't endanger you either( i use this when doing construction so i don't drop my phone of the roof or somewhere in the dirt on the jobsite or when fishing so i don't lose it to the lake)
