This Bunker is located in my country, Latvia. Thank you for not disclosing the exact location of it so no one vandalizes it. If anyone is interested in seeing one of these legally and in a maintained state google - Soviet bunker Ligatne. The bunker there still has all the soviet paraphernalia required to survive a nuclear apocalypse - busts of Lenin, propaganda posters, hammers and sickles and angry Lady serving food from a large pot.

So fun fact the blue car Shiey found is called an SMZ Cyclecar, it was made for disabled people, hence the "pedals" on the wheel. I think they're quite rare especially the earlier models since you had to turn them in for a new one every 5 years, and they weren't for sale to the public, only disabled people could lease them.

as a person who appreciates soviet cars i wanted to fill in some details for those curious, -1:46 "i dont even know what brand this is" - it was definitely a GAZ pobeda not sure if it was the Gaz M72 "Pobeda" or GAZ M20 "Improved Pobeda" though -1:58 "are these supposed to be the pedals? looks kinda cool" - it was an SMZ-S3D - these were developed by the soviet government for disabled people and they were issued to disabled people free of charge (typically war veterans with missing legs) it had 10hp and could go 70kph -7:43 "Chaika" - Gaz made 2 different cars called the Chaika and both were executive limos the one seen is the M13 chaika, later there was a boxier m14 that later went on to inspire the ZIL limos,

Astoundingly well preserved. This is a literal time capsule. All that NOS equipment sealed, all the period technology and even papers left standing like a photograph from yesterday. How is everything still so clean? And there's even power...just amazing. It's funny that it ended up being from the 90's - it looks more like the 70's to American eyes. Thank you for documenting this place...the history is alive thanks to you!

I think you should see it differently. I love Shiey's videos, I really do. But recorded or not, it's not a lost adventure. It's his. His willingness to share it with us is great, but other than that he wouldn't have to do it to become an adventure. People nowadays wanna record everything to keep memory of it and it can get kinda annoying especially at festivals and concerts. But the memory is still in you heart. Keep your memories in your heart, not on a chip. (Well, most of them ;)

Wow..what an exciting tour, and your narrative was perfect....you got in..respectably played around ... there was a lot to look at in the bunker... What a wonderful prize to have handed down in the family...some one is very fortunate..as I assume..some one owns it..property is always in some ones name..uncover that and asking to talk about it would be simply spectacular.. There are alot of exploration videos out now...but no one ever seems to track down an owner and ask for an open interview...maybe they would be willing to walk you through and share the history.. Soon all that information will be lost forever if its not already... Your videos stimulate a lot of questions in my head.. Great video , thank you 😊

Don't wanna sound like a kgb agent, but how do you even find this stuff? Are you still taking people around to help you? Taking a trip with you in one of these abandoned treasuries of the past would be a dream come true. Also, are those places actually abandoned? Did we just take the necessary things and leave all this behind? There's no way this isn't being monitored or registered as some sort of back-up shelter.

The correct term is people who are differently able. Or people who have a disability. Calling someone, ‘disable people’ is highly offensive. Please use correct terms and inclusive language when referring to people who are differently abled in the future.

@340bärgarN I care because I advocate. 'If non-disabled people are normal, then that means that disabled people are abnormal. Yet disability is the norm for some people. It is alienating and marginalizing to classify someone as “abnormal.” Calling someone handicap or a disabled person is not being inclusive and everyone has the right to be included within the community without bigotry terms. I will always fight for inclusiveness and I don't give a crap who says otherwise! 'The word handicap or handicapped is viewed as having a negative connotation - an implication that people with disabilities are disadvantaged in society. That social disadvantage is something we should fight against, rather than merely accept and enshrine in language.'

He was exceedingly considerate of the need for preservation of details of the location and very respectful of the pseudo-sanctity of that place. Him sitting at the desk was respectful. I do so wish he would be more gentle with the equipment in the electronics rooms and vehicles. We must treasure these places and he does a phenomenal job demonstrating by example but perhaps his youth causes him to respond impulsively sometimes. I am absolutely amazed and astounded at what was clearly a massive amount of resources and time that were poured into the construction and outfitting of that bunker, only for it to sit, completely unused, after all these years. I'm especially impressed with how little internal deterioration this bunker has suffered, comparatively speaking. Makes me wonder how many others like it exist across the globe? Billions of dollars (or whatever the local equivalent is) just thrown into building these subterranean structures that do nothing but lie dormant, as they are slowly and inexorably lost to time itself.

2:18 The Chevy Lumina. The number one most pain-in-the-ass-to-fix car Chevy ever made. I see this is one of the earlier models before they made QoL fixes to it, because at 2:24 you can't see the battery on the right side of the engine bay. That's because it's UNDER those coolant fluid tanks. You had to take that frame brace off, and move the coolant tanks to the side to get to the battery.

The main question is, how the hell did this new American car got into the soviet bunker🤔
@FurryWrecker911
@FurryWrecker911 6 ай бұрын
@@petazzz1 The first generation Lumina is 35 years old. They are so old that they can legally have Classic Car license plates in all 50 States. As for how it got there, someone living in Russia knew about the Lumina, went either to Europe or South East Asia, bought one, and drove it back. Alternatively they might have purchased one factory-direct and had it shipped. Chevy operates all over the globe. They're not restricted to the USA.
@petazzz1

@@FurryWrecker911 Wow! You know a lot about this car, it is true about Asia, because since the 2000s people from Russia started buying cars from Japan and shipping them to the city Vladivostok and selling them to all cities in Russia. It is interesting who would want to keep that car in the bunker. It is also weird that it has a key inside... There is another interesting video from shiey about an abandoned house with lots of rear cars inside, it might be interesting to you!
