If anyone is interested in seeing one of these legally and in a maintained state google - Soviet bunker Ligatne. So fun fact the blue car Shiey found is called an SMZ Cyclecar, it was made for disabled people, hence the "pedals" on the wheel. I think they're quite rare especially the earlier models since you had to turn them in for a new one every 5 years, and they weren't for sale to the public, only disabled people could lease them.

as a person who appreciates soviet cars i wanted to fill in some details for those curious, -1:46 "i dont even know what brand this is" - it was definitely a GAZ pobeda not sure if it was the Gaz M72 "Pobeda" or GAZ M20 "Improved Pobeda" though -1:58 "are these supposed to be the pedals? looks kinda cool" - it was an SMZ-S3D - these were developed by the soviet government for disabled people and they were issued to disabled people free of charge (typically war veterans with missing legs) it had 10hp and could go 70kph -7:43 "Chaika" - Gaz made 2 different cars called the Chaika and both were executive limos the one seen is the M13 chaika, later there was a boxier m14 that later went on to inspire the ZIL limos,

There are alot of exploration videos out now...but no one ever seems to track down an owner and ask for an open interview...maybe they would be willing to walk you through and share the history.. The correct term is people who are differently able. Or people who have a disability. Calling someone, ‘disable people’ is highly offensive. Please use correct terms and inclusive language when referring to people who are differently abled in the future.
@theartisticpurr24304 жыл бұрын
@340bärgarN I care because I advocate. 'If non-disabled people are normal, then that means that disabled people are abnormal. Yet disability is the norm for some people. It is alienating and marginalizing to classify someone as “abnormal.” Calling someone handicap or a disabled person is not being inclusive and everyone has the right to be included within the community without bigotry terms. I will always fight for inclusiveness and I don't give a crap who says otherwise! 'The word handicap or handicapped is viewed as having a negative connotation - an implication that people with disabilities are disadvantaged in society. That social disadvantage is something we should fight against, rather than merely accept and enshrine in language.'

He was exceedingly considerate of the need for preservation of details of the location and very respectful of the pseudo-sanctity of that place. Him sitting at the desk was respectful. I do so wish he would be more gentle with the equipment in the electronics rooms and vehicles. We must treasure these places and he does a phenomenal job demonstrating by example but perhaps his youth causes him to respond impulsively sometimes. I'm especially impressed with how little internal deterioration this bunker has suffered, comparatively speaking. Makes me wonder how many others like it exist across the globe? Billions of dollars (or whatever the local equivalent is) just thrown into building these subterranean structures that do nothing but lie dormant, as they are slowly and inexorably lost to time itself.

I see this is one of the earlier models before they made QoL fixes to it, because at 2:24 you can't see the battery on the right side of the engine bay. That's because it's UNDER those coolant fluid tanks. You had to take that frame brace off, and move the coolant tanks to the side to get to the battery.
