I used to work and live here when it was The Wild Boar Hotel & Spa. Such a stunning place and yes had loads of functions and huge weddings. The place was incredibly haunted when I worked there and used to hate going to the old side especially the top bathrooms to clean them as taps were always running by themselves. Such a shame to now see it like this. Nobody wanted & still doesn’t want to buy it. Thanks for sharing Adam

My Boyfriend/Partner and I say that All the time. I grew up middle class and now I have been homeless for over 4 years. I was born and unfortunately still live in one of the wealthiest Town in Virginia, USA. I can't afford to live here and 99.9 percent of what they claim is help for the homeless is redundant, any actual help Doesn't Exist. I could really go in-depth but I won't. ❤😊

I pass this hotel very often, so sad to see it in this state. My late parents had their wedding reception there back in the late 60,s. Recently there’s been a security van there a few times when I’ve passed.

I believe this place was built as the home of a Warrington timber merchant. In more recent times it has been a hotel,spa, wedding venue. A friend of mine went to a wedding back in the 80's and said you didn't get much to eat.Probably why it's empty now.

Absolutely stunning building with amazing architectural details. Tracked down the name of the hotel and looking at the pictures on Google Images from just a few years ago when it was open it looked like a wonderful cozy (despite its massive scale) and upscale place to stay for the weekend or have a wedding. The building was originally built in 1886 and it such a shame to see such a grand Tudor style building abandoned like this. I wonder why it closed down when it had been a popular hotel for decades? Maybe too much competition from Airbnb's....? Nonetheless, hopefully it can still be saved and restored to its former glory.

I work for the security company who looked after this a couple of years ago. I assume when it changed hands they decided to skimp out on security and looks like they are going to pay as no insurer is going to pay out for damage on a property like this left with power on, no security etc...
@TheAnonyy3 жыл бұрын
Please report it as it needs securing we don't want it to get even more damaged

What an amazing building. It’s sad that it hasn’t been taken over. It could potentially be converted to flats for example. It could also be a hotel again if a company was interested in taking it on. The architecture is out of this world. If the electricity is still on, then surely the bills are still being paid by someone, perhaps a caretaker. There is a real fire risk with the power left on like that. This place should definitely be saved. There are too many abandoned buildings like this one.Another top class explore

Curious how old that building is. It looks Tudor but it's not that old...however, that last part where you went up into the attic. That entrance was so tiny, which tells me how big people were back then. That building must be original, and other buildings added on. Loved the carved work with gold. Nice tour Adam!

This place was stunning I loved it and all the detail. The building is huge I can image them having large functions at the same time. Great explore video Adam keep it up. FUN FACT: the Latin saying on that fireplace per crucem ad palmam translates to through the cross to the palm. Though there were a few bits that reminded me a little of the overlook hotel in the Shining.

6:52 that was my living quarters back 2017 when I was a live in security guard for the then owner..I lived there on my own for 3 months I loved it..oh and I stuck the 'gentleman' on the door 😂 the 1886 suite was the honeymoon suite..I have pictures of the whole place from back then in all its glory..and the alarm is the fire alarm it was broke and going of when I left. The power was still on because no one knew how to turn it off..the end bit was were the school kids lived and when it was a hotel it then became staff living quarters.

@@AdamMark I used to be a wedding photographer and visited many great places like this before I retired. A number of hotels had an "unexpected" fire before they closed down, got demolished, and were replaced by flats!

Another great video when you were looking around I thought some of it seemed a little over the top like it was an original Tudor mansion but then the hotel put lots and lots of tacky add-ons which were mock Tudor esque like some of the cabinets you could tell they were cheap reproductions even though, the carvings were really interesting to look at. Music and filming had a great vibe. I always laugh my head off when you say things like "god someone's had a shit in there!" Loool then when u mentioned the plate on the the toilet door with the picture of a man on that you described as a suave gentleman, yes love stuff like that. Xx
