This has got to be the most clean and predestine house I have seen you feature so far. I agree with Dale's statement, how the house is on the moldy side but at the same time is fresh, like clean. And to me it appears that someone has been going in and giving everything a dust. Plus they were in the process of wrapping up art work but left off for some reason. Very happy to hear from gazncl's post that the cottage has new owners! Did anyone else get the impression it was only used on weekends, or like holidays? Great video Adam!

I know where this cottage is. I was only there this morning showing my brother as we have a holiday home near by , I didn't realise the back was open. I had spoken to the local pub landlord last summer and he said, best to his knowledge, it was owned by a lady who used it as a country retreat. Apparently on one of her last visits she left and never returned. It has been on the market a few times but the buyers keep pulling out.

What a charming old house and beautiful surroundings. Was it really once the gatehouse of a country estate? I think that the comment suggesting this might have latterly been a holiday let is quite likely. The contents of the house are a bit soulless and look as if they are staged to please visitors. And it does explain why those beds are pushed together to make doubles. It's almost as if it was changeover day and the beds were stripped in preparation for a between let cleaning. A fabulous explore, and whatever the house once was, it's a crying shame that it can't be rescued, when in all likelihood it'll end up unrepairable and a dozen modern houses will end up in its place! Thanks so much for showing us around. Really lovely!

This is the cleanest house you have been in to date Adam, no graffiti and no one gone in to trash the place. When they find out about it then they will come in and ruin it and that upsets me big style. Shame bout the damp or you could of lived in there. Damp on the outside walls could mean that the guttering could be clogged up with moss and leaves as our bungalow was going through the same thing until my husband cleared the moss and leaves up an cleared them.
