I find it quite disgusting that they do not salvage and recycle anything, just destroy and send everything to the landfill. There was a lot of reusable items destroyed.

That looks like a pretty nice house to just demolish because someone wants more of a front yard to mow. That furnace, hot water tank, and all the electrical looked modern and updated with many many years of life left in those expensive upgrades just to get plowed under.

Unfortunately you just don't get it, Put the property up for sale and a greedy developer will knock down the house and put a 3 or 4 storey block of flats and probably not luxury flat's but budget flats(apartments) 16 apartments (flats) or more enough room for 16 cars and the trash from 16 apartments or a vacant plot of land? I'll take the land, Get much more for the property with more land

These guys should seriously consider my proposal and acquire a comprehensive list of all film studio contacts for their scouting locations and seek an scout manager for payment for filming sites, likes horror, apocalypse, and sci-fi movies. Their impressive catalog of locations could be a lucrative asset, generating substantial revenue. 😅

This was quite an upscale home in its heyday. My guess is that this was built on n the 60s and that the kitchen and other first floor updates are from the 90s. And those updates were pretty high-end for the time. Really makes me sad, as this house was also in very good shape. Demolishing this seems like quite a waste.

Looked like an older style, but was very well built with quality materials. Because of the crawl spaces, and access panels, I am willing to bet they had an architect draw up the house.. (just a thought) great video, very interesting.

It's really sad someone didn't realize the sleek midcentury style of this home and preserve it! I simply don't understand rich people! I am a lover of midcentury style homes and I also don't understand the previous owners making the changes they did to the kitchen, but it still worked I guess. Great video, just sad this house had to come down!

Not everyone is a "Fan" of Mid Century Modern like some of us! Even though this house/home was "updated", and quite nicely I think, those old '64 MCM Bones were still showing.... and this is my critique against the remodel architect: who ever they were didn't know, or respect that MCM vibe. It's gone now, and the neighbors are enjoying their BIG FRONT YARD! 😠 🙄

It’s absolutely disgusting they opted in to demolish this beautiful home. Wow. Must be nice to have so much money that you’ll just up and decide to tear down a former neighbor’s because you can. It wasn’t a cheap house either from the looks of it. I imagine it didn’t even make a dent in their worth either. Naturally they are free to do it and I am equally free to hate them for doing such a frivolous and stupid thing.

All of the comments are right not purposing of the materials a beautiful open floor plan somebody would truly enjoy, and here's the reason why such a thing would happen it's called a blue state of bureaucracy. There's too much of any and everything government in this state and it all has to be funded with property taxes, making the property taxes so insanely High that to tear the house down and have a vacant lot actually makes Financial sense to dodge the bureaucracy of the blue state. Oh we can't get rid of this program or that program you know all those programs the Democrats push through, if the Trojan Horse bills proposed on the senate floor, leads to destruction of a home like this. The property taxes wouldn't be so high if they didn't have so much bureaucracy. It's like having a committee of 20 members who plan on proposals of how to wash guardrails on the interstate that has to be funded hundreds of bureaucratic BS programs that Jack the taxes up so high on each and every structure that they have to be torn down. I'm glad red states have brains and scents not to do stupid crap like that. If you didn't like seeing this house torn down vote for Donald Trump. He ends. Bureaucracy, that Jack's taxes way up that lead to destruction of a home like this because of the property taxes so high if there's a dwelling on top of it.
