This walmart probably closed recently. But it is Old School Walmart with the tile floors and ceiling tiles, It's also way to small to be a super walmart.

How about a homeless shelter. Plenty of room and it would have heating an air conditioning. Just prop up some beds, have one area be a medical center to treat drug addiction and have another area be a financial assistance center to guide them out of their situation.

I used to work for a Walmart this has to be a standard Walmart before they went super it's way too small and the pick up area isn't the way the new ones are there big towers nowadays

This Walmart was located in Bedford nh and it is a whare house now and when the construction started my dad and the company that he was working for called SL Chase worked on that building back in 2022 when it was turned into a warehouse the building was not demolished and I remembered when that store closed in 2019 I went there with my mom and I took photos of the store in its last days

Isn't it funny how these stores don't seem so huge as they do when they are full of housewares, clothes, toys, etc... When the building is empty, it looks so much smaller and makes you wonder how they fit all of that stuff into that small area.

It's super interesting how the ceilings are low and in most newer Walmarts they build the ceilings are super high. I guessing that smaller Walmarts don't have enough space to accommodate large crowds so they build bigger ones to handle the huge crowds.

When they shutdown the old Walmart and had the new Walmart Supercenter. They left allot of stuff behind. They hardly took any of the electronics gaming systems and TV's. Me and my friends took them all. We checked the security office and they didn't take the security systems and we took those also. Lucky we had room ro put everything in the back of the vehicle. We kept eyes on the place and nobody arrived and did anything. Cause we put clear tape on the top of doors to see if they was ever opened. Homeless People was staying inside until one of them told someone that reported it to the police. Those that was on there was charged with breaking and entering and theft. It was later demolished.

The sound is the fire alarm system. It's giving a notification to check the fire pumps. So the Sprinklers, Alarms .

'Shrink' is corpo speak for any product they can't sell due to damage or being shoplifted. Basically, it's telling employees to keep customers from stealing before they decided 'actually, we don't want you to do ANYTHING to keep people from stealing, but we still want to blame you when they steal'. Source: Worked in grocery and had to attend lectures on shrink.

One in my area is at a mostly abandoned (except for a grocery store and a few smaller adjacent stores) shopping center that was built on a landfill site, and closed after being open for almost 2 years. Other big box stores in that center also closed, and a few are shells of stores that were never completely built. The site has major methane leakage issues.

@@LouiesWorkshop Yes. The site is now called Highland Park, and it is being redeveloped as an industrial park/warehouse/office complex. The former Walmart building is being renovated as warehouse space. From I-480, it appears that the area where the auto center was has new doors and was painted white. Giant Eagle will remain as a retail anchor.
