I've visited that house a few times ,never had the nerve to go upstairs though . The two cottages at the back were demolished the last time I visited sadly. I stopped a local one one to ask him about the history of this once beautiful house. He told me that there as far as he knew there was a family lived there who all passed away through the years and there was only one daughter left who lived there on her own until she went into a home. Not sure if that is true but that's what the man told me. It's been a while since I was done there,I'm just wondering if the house is gone now ,probably making way for new clinical houses with no character whatsoever. Very sad.

I actually passed the house last week and its boarded up so we will not be going in there again. The pub accross the road at the fort has been flattened but there has been alot of work going on with the fort itself so looking forward to having a look at that.

Thank you very much to share. There are lots of abandoned old houses in Ireland. All have great history, they were beautiful in past years. I live in Co Sligo but a few months ago saw amazing Condon House in Ballyshannon. Just wondering if you ever explored that house? It looks to be locked that`s why I didn`t want to explore it. I will wait your next videos about abandoned houses with great Irish history. WELL DONE!!!

Thank you. I will possible look into Condon house because i actually are originally from Ballyshannon. Im looking to film new places when i get over this bit of an illness because i have basically seen everything around the area i am living in so its possible i might have to drive a little further to get to places but hopefully it will be worth it. I dont actually know where condon house is but hopefully i will get to it at some stage.

I will wait your video about this place. I have read it still has original ornaments inside. I was there a week ago but it is locked.....I was also shamed to explore it.....The main door are locked. Probably there is a gap from the back side of the house.

@@katarzynafedorko788 Thank you for the link. Yes i know this house and its been like that as long as i can remember from away back in my school days and we just called it the haunted house. The story was going around about a man who hung himself from the light in an upstairs room and after he was removed, hes shadow stayed on the wall. Its possibly just a ghost story. Some say the story was made up to stop kids going in there and getting in danger by the state of the building.

The front door is level with the street but its built on a basement and as far as i can remember there were no windows on the back basement wall so it was not a place i could get into back in my teenage years

yes i used to be in the fishery school years ago so i lived in the big house beside the school. I had a bit of a shock when i seen the house was gone and appartments there instead
