Hiking in the mountains behind my house near Roan Mountain on the North Carolina side. I explore an old house that is about to fade into time and visit a local waterfall.

When you started talking about the rocks it reminds me of a place we used to go to in the mountains of North Carolina. The place is called Sliding Rock. That was back in the early 60 s.

Another awesome adventure, thanks! I live in central north Georgia, almost an hour south of Athens. I’ve hiked many areas of North Ga and we rode our motorcycles all over W NC and TN.

@@davidcook2687 Had one never found anything. Its Mitchell County so of course someone got the drugs out of it. 🤣 Lisa and I raided that medicine cabinet in the 80's it was empty then. Btw...u are CRAZY for going on that front porch! I swam in that mud hole or took a mud bath I should say.

Wow havent been there in ages. It did used to be a fireplace according to dad. Btw...I'm offended the site of the Historic white pines tree fort hasn't been the subject of one of your videos. 😅 @8:56 I fell down it trying to slide on my butt, still have the scar. The trout were traumatized.

Is this place anywhere close to Dahlonega Georgia? I will be in the area of Western North Carolina , southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia in 2 weeks. I live and travel in my van. I love that area. I watched videos about Dahlonega and plan to stay in those 3 state areas for a few months. I have a friend in Maggie Valley North Carolina that I haven’t seen in 56 years so I am going to visit him.

it would be so pretty if you flew a drone with a camera up the creek, to record the falls, in summer, and in winter. It would be epic if you had zip lines and could take them one by one down the many water falls from the top of the mountain to your place

as a photographer, I just itch to get a good camera up there, where you were at the 16:15 mark, and make wide photos. I hope you get someone to do that. That's some real beauty

Nice area to build a house. How much is land in this area? My mom grew up in the appalachian mtns she moved to the west coast in the 60s never going back. At times i want to buy a spread and a place to retire. People with the same views religion and mentality. Here you cannot even talk to your neighbors.

I love living here lots of nice easy going people. Land is getting harder to come by though and the prices keep getting higher but nothing compared to California I guess. Wnc and East Tennessee are nice places

@@davidcook2687 I agree californians are moving up here in my area wash state and houses are going for 100k over asking if not more its lunacy. They bring their voting and politics with them i have seen in last 2 elections. They never learn i read where california people owe there over 1 bill in water bills. If i had land like that would be a good hydro set up.
