Sorry Rachel.. Ugh i really felt for you in that momentary rant on the bed. The angst was palpable. I hate that feeling. Try not to let the pressure get to you. At least not that of which comes from your KZbin subscribers. Pressure degenerates creativity. It slowly breaks it down to nothing. Fuck constructs of perfection or demands of a vlogmas schedule and embrace the perceived “sloppiness” and unpredictability. I too struggle with pressure and finding that balance a lot as an artist. I’m definitely a perfectionist and it overwhelms me when i can’t deliver at my best or adhere to a schedule, but when you’re doing something like a daily vlog that’s inevitable. Your vlog series, far more than those of others I’ve encountered on KZbin, take us on a journey through your psyche and experiences and if you’re a little “sloppy” one day- fuck it! It’s a reflection of how you were feeling at that time. It’s part of the pleasure of watching your videos, your unique ways of expressing vulnerability. Even if it’s something unintentional like not having the energy to perfect a technical issue bc your plate is too full- so be it. Let that be part of what you offer your audience. It makes the work more honest. And honestly it doesn’t bother me. People need to stop complaining. Analyze/critique the work, start a conversation- sure.. but to complain about a technical thing like the sound when we know you’re balancing a schedule of work, vlogs, travel, holidays, and whatever else we’re not privy to personally irritates me. Im happy to experience your work in whatever capacity or quality you’re able to able to offer. I like seeing the human errors bc that makes the work and process more relatable and allows your audience to connect to your experience with greater intimacy. I just hate that you feel pressured to begin with bc I know what that does to ones artistic consciousness, but what really unnerves me is that those you’re giving so much to are responding by causing additional pressure. -That’s only going to discourage her from making future daily vlog series, guys. Let’s not taint the experience for her or pile on the pressure. I understand that we come to depend on creators that move us but can you imagine how draining of a responsibility that must be for the creator? When consuming art you have to practice adjusting yourself; don’t expect the work to adjust to your preferences. It is what it is.- Rachel, grant yourself some you time in costa. Unplug and allow yourself a cerebral and spiritual recalibration. Soak up the spirits of the forests. They each have such different energies. The biodiversity of places like costa always get me high. I hope you drown yourself in the buzz. Can’t wait to see how it’s channeled into the work. 🌀💜

The last 35 seconds or so are quite possibly some of the most beautiful shots i've ever come across on youtube. The use of camera angles and light in combination with the music are honestly just breathtaking; captured such a graceful mood and made me nostalgic in a way i didn't even know was possible.
