Exploring at an Old Creek Mill...

A rainy summer day and I was out driving around exploring for new fishing holes. As soon as I came across this old creek mill I had to make a few casts. The fishing was on fire.

If you search what ever creek that is, and add in usgs, you can see what the flow of a particular creek is, some of them track the turbidity aka mud, of the water as well. Up here fishing steelhead thats a huge tool for what creeks i pick to hit or skip. Hope it helps you as well.

Hi John, I look forward almost daily to your newest video. This last one at the mill was really cool. Little bit of rain , some stained water and the fish were ready for action . I particularly enjoyed your touring on that day . Such beautiful green mountainous countryside, gorgeous. But then everywhere you fish out there is beautiful. Thanks for mentioning how to select the music. I had been conscience of your selections and appreciate your choices. I recently heard of a comedian who wanted to use some of Paul McCartney's stuff and he would've been charged $600,000 for that privilege . .You found a good resource ! Another nice aspect of your video was how you enhanced it with some very nice drone footage. That was a good compliment. I have always done well after storms that muddy a creek up and make it rise just a touch. Spinnerbaits, chatturbaits, even noisy topwater seemed to work really well.

Man, John, love the music you choose for your videos, and this was neat in that it was different than the typical style you use! Good stuff! I also hope you go back and kayak that stretch above the dam! That little launch is just waiting for you!! :-)

They may be hitting the blade. That seems to happen to me more often the darker the water is. Aside from adding a small hook to the main blade, I prefer to add a swimbait paddle tail trailer (size depending on the spinnerbait), instead of a trailer hook. It gives a bigger target for them to hit after the blades have attracted them. *Trailer length (after rigging) longer than blade length is key.

Boy this weather has been absolutley wild. I'm in Logan County KY KY TNBorder so Were getting some of the same fronts. Them clouds have been absolutkey insane up here. My river is shot right now but I hit the lake yesterday for 8 hours on my yak got absolutley sun ROASTED John im serious 🤣🤣🤣 I had q like 6 pound Catfish on my old Mitchell spinning reel qnd he pulled me to the bank FAST I caught it on film to. I'm editing this video now. I LOVEEE THAT MILL!!!!! Those Smallmouth were nice and LORT that largemouth that came off. I felt that pain 🤣 That Cello music you put qt the end of the video made ot feel like q whole different video in q VERY good way. It made me feel like I was watching Plante earth videos and I love those!!!!! Use that music more if ya want I loved it!!!!!! Hela good job brother absolutley love this video.
