Lucy, your swimming is poetry in motion. Absolutely captivating to me. I admire your work ethic and drive. You are inspiring to even the older community like me, I’m 73!

As an Austrian it's especially nice to see how much you loved your visit. And yes, those cable cars are and adventure! I remember as a kid when we went skiing there was this single-person chair lift. It only had a flimsy safety bar to pull across your lap. I had nightmares for years of going up that lift and being stuck (which happened frequently because of the wind and then the chair would swing side to side or back and forth). Much better riding in a cable car! 😅 Hope you come back to Austria soon!

Congratulations again to you, Lucy and Reese, and everyone behind your big victory this year, I wish nothing but good things to come for both of you in 2024, you are inspiring me as I am training for the half Iron Man in June on Kona, half distances, but still in a very sacred place I will be thinking of you and hope that I do well happy new year. Cheers!

Groom at 9:20 actually looks my boy Michael K. who - believe it or not - is not only a triathlete but also the president of the regional triathlon federation of Salzburg! If you had approached him, I'm sure he would have recognized you as a triathlon-superstar and invited you for the party ;-)

Excellent video Lucy :-) I hate that all of this is the result of an injury, but is amazing to see you really enjoying yourself away from the pressures of racing and training, put a huge smile on my face :-) And as someone who's skied for most of his life, was so endearing to see your enthusiasm for the 'cable car', 'novelty' is such an undervalued experience in life :-) Although a wee technical point!! It wasn't actually a cable-car you were on, was a 'gondola'. A gondola is like an enclosed chairlift, with lots of small (4-8 people) cabins. A cable-car is a massive cabin which can hold between 100-200 people, and there's only two cabins, one going up, and one coming down (simultaneously and counter-balancing each other). Sorry to be a pedantic bore!!

I understand Red Bull is doing a lot of good for athletes in all sports But how thee athletes do deal with the fact they are promoting such a shitty and unhealthy beverage for money ? Would you promote drinking Red Bull if they didn't give you tons of cash ? I doubt it

Mrs.Charles-Barclay, forgive me for what I say next. But this was not my favorite video. 😁 Only because I prefer not to see those exuberant risk perhaps your youth requires of you? World's greatest female athlete ever and cable car, seem hardly the combination necessary for anyone's entertainment! How terrified you must have been! I was terrified! I'd maybe rather watch you knit. 😁 All in good fun. Cheers!

@AlexGerassis2 жыл бұрын
@@josefstone7604 Is weight something to shame about? And first of all Lucy's answer help all of us how to organise our diet in periods of injury. Gain or loose weight is something normal in human body. What are you? Abnormal?

She’s working with the best in the industry, whatever her weight, she’s certainly doing what she needs to in order to heal properly. What a stupid comment.
@stuge73402 жыл бұрын
I don’t think he’s body shaming, weight is an important factor in performance and I personally struggle to keep on top of mine when I can’t run as much as I usually do and aren’t burning the calories. It would be useful to know how a professional manages that.

Just sprained my knee in FIRST long run of marathon plan. Arghh. Can’t bend it or put weight on it and it’s like a balloon. Don’t have your patience for recovery. Any tips?? So disappointed. I’ll start with a can of red bull and close my eyes and think of Austria. Maybe that’ll help?! Also pretty sure it’s caused by biomechanics. So annoying. Should I get a painting by numbers and stick a biro in my eye? Sorry just being silly. ;-) You’re looking super strong. How you’ve coped is anyone’s guess. 💪🏻💪🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻👏🏻👏🏻✅✅
