It is so sad to see how that place has been neglected and fallen into disrepair. When I did my Psych rotation there as a student nurse in 1972 that place was beautiful inside.. absolutely beautiful....this is so sad to see. I hope it gets restored one day. It was all women patients at that time

Geesh.I remember delivering medicine to this place in the late 80s to mid 90s.At that time it was known as Gundry Children's (center).They had anywhere from 16 to 20 kids in there at any given time.The med room was located upstairs,and I know that staircase very well.Gundry Glass adolescent and adult patients were on the 7th floor of South Baltimore General,now known as Harbor Hospital.Athol was creepy even back then!

Heyyy well it burned down this morning so hopefully all the spirits went away in the fire... I love my neighborhood. This place though, was really always creepy!

One KZbinr went here and made two videos and during them u can hear voices, see shadows, there was someone waering mask, and at one point there is what looks like a deformed black head with glowing eyes peeking on the floor and when he walks in the room it's gone, so yeah u guys weren't alone

what happened that the place was left to rot like this...was there no family to continue running the place? why did it close and be abandoned

I read that they closed down due to debt and child abuse- not sure how true that is though!
