The 50m ice cliff is not the barrier and plateau behind that that flattens out at 10 000ft above sea level stretching out east and west and was found to be a path westward that are well documented yet lied about in recent times. The idea of a continent is man made. But I think you mean it isn't a land mass. The reality is it is an archipelago. The glaciers connect them. There is also a thought out there that the sheer weight of the ice is probably causing the land mass to sit lower and that, if the glaciers are removed, the land mass would rise and possibly be a single land mass.

Why don't you travel to Antarctica. During the 2009 to 2010 tourist season, over 37,000 people visited it. On Cruise ships. And got off. And if you pay a lot. you can be flown to the South pole.
