EXPLORING BANTAYAN with FRIEND from a SECRET COUNTRY! | Obo-ob Mangroves, Cebu, Philippines 🇵🇭

We went a bit around the Southern part of the beautiful Bantayan island with a friend from a peculiar country that are not very common to come accross as a tourist.
Going through the stunning Obo-ob Mangrove Forest with him, this was a very unique experience not just for us but also for him. And yet, despite being in a country of a very different climate, he found it familiar, being similar to his home in some ways. As always, it's more fun in the Philippines!
Afterwards, me and Mae enjoyed the sunset at the beautiful Paradise Beach before heading for a seafood dinner!

Bantayan is the best source of dried seafood. 💪☺️

All mangroves bear fruits, but not commonly used as food for human. They reproduce either from seeds and roots or both.

Danggit is a Cebuano local name for rabbitfish, fresh, cooked, processed or dried. Non-Cebuanos mistakenly think that danggit is a term for dried fish of any species. There are hundreds of fish species being dried and sold commercially in the Bantayan's eponymous main town Bantayan and in Cebu City's local markets and danggit is just one of them. So not all dried fish are called danggit. And not all danggit are dried. Fresh danggit can also be found sold in local fish market all over Cebu. Fried fresh danggit or danggit stew and danggit soup can sometimes be found served in small carinderias all over Cebu as well.
