Wow! Amazon music suggested one of Exploring Birdsong's songs, but when this song started playing, it stopped me in my tracks. Still getting goosebumps 2 weeks later every time I listen to this. The opening piano section, the time changes, her voice and melody, the bridge and bass line, the lyrics are all amazing. The song is amazing. I can't believe a radio station didn't pick this up and it didn't end up as a #1. Best of luck to you, you have a new fervent follower!

Awesome, love the symbolic message too. We all have struggles. I still trust in god. No matter how many times i fail. I'll always pray.

Just curious... why did "god" harden the Pharoah's heart and make him deny the miracles presented to him so he would have to kill all the first born sons in Egypt? Sounds to me like he wanted to kill the kids and had to even harden the heart of the Pharoah to do so. He could part the sea couldn't he just have temporally paralyzed the Pharoah and the guards until they walked out? Maybe he could've softened the Pharoah's heart and turned him into a peace loving hippie. 🤷♂️ Can't say free will because hardening hearts and murder interferes with free will.

@@a01252 good question! It led me to research this, and here’s what I found to answer your question! -What did the Pharaoh do to the Hebrew babies? But Pharaoh was still worried that his Israelite slaves would rise up against him. So he ordered a terrible punishment - all the first-born male babies of the Israelites were to be killed. Pharaoh gave orders to the midwives that 'Every son that is born you, shall cast into the river'. [Moses mother actually saved Moses by placing him in a basket 🧺 and sending it down the river. Which may be a prophetic parallel, or mirroring (typology) of Moses later parting the Red Sea 🌊 and leading the Israelites to freedom from enslavement!] According to the Book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when his people, the Israelites, an enslaved minority, were increasing in population and, as a result, the Egyptian Pharaoh worried that they might ally themselves with Egypt's enemies. -Death of the firstborn of Egypt The death of Pharaoh and the Egyptians' firstborn sons at the first Passover is direct recompense for God's identification of Israel as his own firstborn. So God sent the angel of death to kill the firstborn sons of the Egyptians. God told Moses to order the Israelite families to sacrifice a lamb (Our Passover Lamb 🐑 without spot or blemish from the world!) and smear the blood on the door of their houses. In this way the angel would know to 'pass over' the houses of the Israelites. -What is the curse of the first born? We are born in the flesh, and then we are born again spiritually. Our first birth is cursed because we are all “shapen in iniquity; and (born) in sin” (Psalm 51:5) and because of this, we cannot receive the blessing of Father God. -Why was the birthright so important in Genesis? In the scriptures, birthright usually refers to the right of the son born first in a family to inherit his father's possessions and authority. In ancient Israel, for example, all the sons received some of their father's property, but the firstborn received a double portion and became the leader of the family. [now it’s starting to get good, and we’re beginning to connect the dots, and see that this may not be just about revenge upon Pharaoh’s first born as merely an act of righteous indignation, retribution, but a prophetic parallel of the later death of Jesus: whom is YHWH’s (God the Father) beloved first born. This also occurred during Passover which is important as this was when Christ was crucified for our sins, and became the First Born of the dead! That in Him we too may have life!! Hallelujah!! So we see here again as we do with many biblical accounts that there is a prophetic parallel to a later, greater account that gives us a more connected bigger picture of Gods poetic story of love, grace, and forgiveness, and His willfulness that None should perish but that all repent and believe in His only begotten first born, that they may have life, and life more abundant! It’s Gods reckless abandon and love for His lost sheep that drives him to leave the 99 saved for the 1 that is lost until he too has been found! When we compare the mirroring of the stories of the Old Testament texts against that of the New Testament we see the big picture in greater clarity, and see just how deep, allegorical, prophetic, poetic, and loving our God truly is, and that only God himself could’ve written such a profound work of literature. It is written that none are righteous no not one! And all have fallen short of the glory of God! And that God sent His only Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that through Him they might have life, life more abundantly. And this is the condemnation: that light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone that loves evil hates the light, neither come to the light 💡 lest their deeds be reproved. But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. I hope, sincerely pray 🙏🏽 that this not only answered your question, but also gave you greater insight into the loving heart of YHWH although He is a God of judgment and He must be to hold true to His character that He is just, fair; however, that He is first, foremost a God of love not willing that any shall perish, but that all should believe and be saved through faith in the finished work of His only begotten first born son Christ whom is seated at the right hand of YHWH in the heavens, to the glory of YHWH the Father.] May you be edified, and may you also be blessed in YHWH name! Amen. Peace, love, hope, truth, forgiveness, and all the other fruits of the spirit be with you, upon you, beloved, friend. Shalom. 🤍

What's the meaning behind this animation? It seems to me that the protoganist ultimately accepts his "duty" after straying off-track because some alcohol trip went really bad.

I really like this song, and I'm very excited to hear more from Exploring Birdsong as it comes out. However, I'm disheartened by the use of the Sigil of Baphomet, the official insignia of the Church of Satan, in this animation. It gives the impression that the artist doesn't actually know what CoS members believe, nor that the Sigil is a trademarked logo, not just some bad symbol to represent whatever you think it does. Not looking for a fight here, btw, just hoping to spark a dialogue amongst the artists involved about how they choose to represent their ideas.
@emmettelvin17235 жыл бұрын
A fair question - with a simple answer: it was the biggest, cleanest file of its kind I could find. If a version of the sigil from the late 19th century was as big and clean I would have happily used that. Also, it's not meant to represent what I think - or even what The CoS thinks - rather the iconography/archetypes of what may be running through the mind of someone in our protagonist's predicament. Hope that helps!
