Yana's editor, Kuma, said that Grell is more manly in the Story of Will The Reaper because she didn't come out yet. And Yana designed young Grell and young William. I personally liked that OVA. I hope we'll see young Grell and William in the manga too. I really want to know what actually happened in canon.

So which theories do you have in mind? Also, I too agree that Threads of the Spider is the best of the old OVAs. I interpreted Claude and Hannah as a mutually abusive couple. They always stuck around with each other, and Claude even saves Hannah despite knowing she intended to betray him.

Lovely video!!! You were so real with the spider’s web OVA, that one has got to be my favorite, it was just a wonderful example of supplemental characterization. I remember back when I had Netflix, Netflix used to have both the first season of Black Butler and the OVAs and for some reason the platform got rid of the first season. I was so bummed out when I found out about that, but thankfully I got the chance to watch the first season and I prefer that over the OVAs.
