These sights are not city as you mentioned.. These 1200 years old place is being called "Bihar" which means something like "BUDDIST UNIVERSITY" where world top graded buddist scholars were teaching buddism to the thousands of monks. The kitchen size and the dining space speaks that few thousands people could take their meals at a time. As it was a full fladged university so thete ia a thought that they learnt shawlin type martial arts for self defencie which misleads the invaders and attract tbem to attack the place and destroyed it. Its structures was huge in size and looked like fort so it was always being targeted attacked and destroyed by the invaders as considered the enemies cantonments. The thing is exposed is just a pick of the "Bihar".. 90% are yet to be discovered means unexcavated. Please google it for more information.
