I lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island and Downtown Brooklyn always impressed me. Downtown Brooklyn has the second most shopping in New York City, Barclays Center, New York Transit Museum, the Brooklyn music academy, 13 hotels, 13 subway lines and it’s the 3rd central business district of New York City. That super tall building is a nice addition to the Brooklyn skyline. I took my cousin visiting from Toronto to Ellis Island and the statue of Liberty, great spots to see the NYC and Brooklyn skylines, but I was surprised to see that the Jersey City skyline is pretty impressive as well. You should take a trip there, Ellis Island with the history of the immigrants, and the statue is absolutely worth it with a new interactive museum.

Downtown BK is exciting for sure. Tons of shopping, a sports complex, hotels, and all these high rises going up. My main concern though is what’s the occupancy rates and are there any office space being occupied in these new buildings? I would think you need some major companies opening locations in downtown BK to be able to build more bars and restaurants (as well as keeping the current ones in business). Just my two cents.
