I started going there when I was 3 months old, then every year after that through the 60s and 70s. Last time I was there was 1994. Never got tired of it. Glad to see how well maintained the park is. You picked a real gem, Kyle.

I use to go there almost every Summer with my family as a little boy in the 90s. I remember the North Crest Trail. I remember having fun running through the trunk of that fallen tree, Father of the Forest. Awesome video. Thanks for posting.

I was just there 2 weekends ago. My daughter wanted a stuffed owl from the visitor center. Really great place.

My brother and I have been going here yearly since we were kids. One of the most peaceful campgrounds. The exploration there is great too. tons of hiking and swimming in the nearby Stanislaus ( watch out for the ladybugs). I think it's the big trees that draws us back. Great video thank you

Just visited the park myself. Also the first time I have seen them in person despite trying a couple times in the past. An absolutely beautiful park and experience. I did the the South Grove Trail and may have seen a total of 10 people on it.

There is also a fire-blackened snag in the park which is called the Mother of the Forest, once a huge and beautiful giant sequoia, the bark of which was removed for display. The Father of the Forest you showed was originally 435ft high and 110ft in circumference according to a US Forest Service report back in the day... probably the biggest tree which ever lived on the planet

Great video, is there a road within the park to drive to the overlook, west fork of the Stanislaus river and South Grove?
