Going by the plans the coaster layout was already decided before theming it into minecraft. The area will be operational in off season and also able to expand in the future.

Why spend $$ to go to attractions when I can sit on my arse and make it with very minimal effort, time / editing skills needed haha I honestly don't know why people watch them and then vlogs where I genuinely make effort etc quite often get less views. It's mad how up and down viewer engagement is with different kinds of content. It's no wonder streamers get the most views when all they do is sit there and chat aha mad

haha it really does seem like a good decision but I'm glad, I'm genuinely happy that investment is going away from a park that doesn't seem to be able to capitalise on the $$$ given if that makes sense but the southern parks need the investment and need it quickly to really give them a chance against Universal when they roll into town

You got to think when Toyland Tours was installed that costed £2 Million or £4 Million pounds to install something magical, this has much more money involved meaning it could be extra special an idea I have had you could have the whole building covered in screen blocks and as the seasons change or time changes the blocks could change texture depending on different circumstances. But this will be a heavily immersive land. Hoping they keep it contained and cover the Tiger enclosure of Land of the Tiger.

@@solskjaer1195 factoring in inflation CPI data I’d hazard a guess that £2M in 1994 would be worth around £4M today with £4M being around £8M

@@LiftHillsandThrills probably not far off but remember parts and wages were a lot lower too. You could build a truly world class dark ride in 1994 for £4m. Today that's almost impossible.

I think this will surpass a lot of people’s expectations with the theming/ technology. I have never played Minecraft but if it’s as immersive as they say it will be then this will be a fun land

Excited for this I love Minecraft. Is Chessington slowly becoming Merlin’s “universal”. A park full of IPs and immersive experiences. They have Jumanji and now Minecraft. In the future could we see other immersive IPs like we see at universal?

It’s highly possible, Chessington is Merlin’s best looking UK park in my eyes it just needs that TLC here and there

I think this would be an amazing addition to chessington if done correctly. This year unfortunately merlin seem to be overhyping and under delivering. However if the theming is done to the same standard as world of jumanji it could be amazing. What does worry me though us the decision to keep cobra. The last rime we rode this, it seemed to be on its last legs! Half of the restraints didn't work and had to be manually locked and it was so slow building up speed that i wasn't sure it was even going to make it over the hump. Hopefully it will get a major revamp

You'd like to think it would go in for a major revamp especially if it's coming back as the anchor outdoor flat ride. The plans definitely make it look like its enclosed etc so I'm sure they'd want to get it up to good running standard as removing it will be more tricky (you'd assume) looking at those plans!

With some decent theming and a lot of maintenance work it will fit into the area nicely. It's a nice "bigger" ride for the target audience. 🤞 it's gets the attention it needs. Looking forward to seeing how the new area will look as a whole

This is how i found out about the muppets news then frantically watched the US bloggers. Utter despair at the news though the theatre has to replace the villians show in a one to one versions.

It’s a shame but I do rather like the look of Monsters. Never been a huge Muppets fan but I am curious as to how they’re going to preserve the film / experience of MuppetVision outside of that theatre space

@LiftHillsandThrills I get why Disney needs to update like universal rather than go stale but considering they went to war against DeSantis over the "Don't Say Gay" bill and in the Muppets have a perfect property to illustrate the acceptance of differences, its strange how they don't know how to use them and have gotten rid of Frank Oz and others to advise them. Removing Jim Henson's last work is criminal based on what he means to 20th century entertainment and creativity. If there's no plans to relocate to show with all the effects it is like putting your foot through a Van Gough. The Muppets needs an attraction that can be enjoyed by all be it a show or dark ride ideally with the option of a Christmas overlay😍😍 Love the idea of the electric mayhem rollercoaster. One of the songs played surely has to be "Can you scream to this"🤭 The Muppets and Monsters could have easily coexisted Now to plan a trip for last rides and hope Disney has an appropriate send off planned On the Chessington news, sounds great that Merlin are investing to counted Universal Bedford but they stood still in the UK following Swarm and got surpassed by other European parks massively. Would much rather have an Europa Park annual pass than Merlin 100%

@@natsirt0088 Whilst I do respect the fandom of The Muppets and its history I do think it's time for change. Disney have confirmed the show will be preserved and re-used in some shape or form so that's a damn sight better than scrapping it entirely and The Muppets coaster I'm sure will be great fun if albeit bittersweet for me as I rather loved the Aerosmith vibes! Europa always wins over Merlin, it's rarely a competition! There's a reason Europa win best theme park countless times. They really are next level

I appreciate they tried something new but try telling a 12 year old with ASD and ADHD to wait in a que for a period longer than 15 minutes!

haha I mean you're not wrong when it comes to queues and bad food but Blackpool has a LONG way to go in many regards, the good thing is they're heading in the right direction and their new flat and next coaster not to mention another hotel will be a lovely step forward for them and they deserve some good luck to come their way!

@LiftHillsandThrills what is great about blackpool is it has the rest of the resort the Irish Sea, The promenade the piers and everything else blackpool has to offer so it's a full day at pleasure beach with world class rides valhalla, icon, big one amongst others then a full evening at the rest of the town in very short walks the best place in my opinion 😀 👍 you should visit for season close with fireworks this Saturday 😀 oh blackpool council has put in Christmas Markets and rides by the blackpool tower absolutely Fantastic 👍
