Paku and the one you eat at Sarawak is defend , the one for Sarawak is Midin which only can grow in Sarawak.

Konichiwa, Im from Kuching, I think what ur husband refering to is "Midin" instead of "Paku" that u bought. Both looks similar but actually different and taste different too. Midin is more common in East Malaysia, while Paku is common in West Malaysia. Hope that helps.

both pucuk paku and midin are common in either west or east msia. People of east coast of west msia eat them both
