Roughly $740.00 all in is quite good for the location of Mactan he is in as there is so much to experience there. He could spend $750.00 on food and entertainment and still come in just under $1,500.00 per month. Try that is America. And it does not look as if this gentleman is suffering in any type of way to me. Most people simply do not know how to manage their finances. I previously lived in Cebu and know what is possible. Mactan Newtown is a very nice community but the condos themselves are very small and dull most have views only of another building and no usable balcony. So many new condos are built to the Asian standard very small sq meters, usually less than 50sqm. I was spoiled living in near by Movenpick for 4 years where my condo was 100sqm., overlooked the sea and had a nice white sand beach. I'm living in Boracay now in a very nice 1 bedroom condo, much nicer than the Newtown condos. I was thinking of moving back to Mactan and looked at condos at Movenpick - didn't find one like the one I had lived in. about 6 at Newtown - all small and poorly furnished, a one bedroom at Tambuli - way too small and the resort though beautiful was difficult to get to through the narrow and congested roads, a two bedroom at La Mirada - that didn't match the advertising (no white beach as advertised) and dull. The Reef was out of my budget at 80K but looks very nice, The Pearl is also out of my budget but very nice. Amisa has possibilities but it's further out on the island than I wanted to be. If your budget for rental is less than $1000 per month I guess you'll have to be satisfied with places like Mactan Newtown
@gary_in_the_Philippines8 ай бұрын
Movenpick's $180 per night costs don't make it condo that one can rent. Is a high end resort not apt or condo living.

What is the names of the best largest luxury condo's in Boracay & Cebu that I can Google? Are the condo's larger in BGC?
@johntaylor48175 ай бұрын
@@gary_in_the_Philippines Movenpick does have condos for rent. There are three towers, one tower is all hotel, one tower is all condos and the third tower is mixed. Condo rentals go from $900 for small one bedrooms (I don’t recommend the small one bedrooms for long term rental), larger 1 bedroom for around $1000, 2 bedrooms some for $1000 to $1200. 3 bedrooms $1500 and higher.
@johntaylor48175 ай бұрын
@@tomsorrell4918 I’m living in one of the most attractive condo complexes in the Philippines. This is Palais de Boracay on Boracay. The 1 bedroom units go for around $900 per month. Each condo looks out over the sea out to Carabao Island. The condos are nicely furnished, good kitchens, large bathrooms. Management is great, the grounds are lush with greenery, each condo has a balcony large enough to accommodate 20 sun bathers. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Not a lot of "high end" quality builds in the areas that would be better for you. Alcoves, 108 residences in cebu business park or 38 park avenue in IT park a consideration. Or 38 swanson which is a rockwell development. They build quality.
@wanderingdoc507511 ай бұрын
@@ozmikeinphils Thank you for the suggestions. I've looked at a few of those already. 32 Sanson (Rockwell) is great but a bit too far and all of the units that face the very LOUD construction that you can hear even with the windows closed. Alcoves I like a lot, but rumors of dead spots and internet not being stable with even a bit of rain. 38 park avenue has lightning fast internet but the studios are TINY (like 22 sq.m.) 108 residences I've never heard of and will look into.
