According to U.S. News Best Countries 2024 Rankings Philippines has dropped from the TOP TEN to #45. Why do you think that is?

Good points Gio… My next trip over in March will be for a vacation, but I’ll be checking out a couple places I’ve been before, just to see if I still get the same positive vibe as the last time. When I do retire in 2026 I plan to spend a month each in a few places I’ve not stayed yet, then compare the best couple of places to my two favorites I have right now. Once I narrow it down to 3 or 4 best options, I’ll go back and stay another month or two in each, and slowly narrow my list to the top 2. I can’t wait to get started!

Gio, I saw the writing on the wall when I was station at Naval Station Cubic Bay with Alpha Company Marine Barracks during mid 70’s not to retire in the Philippines. Sorry. That’s my opinion. Just recently return from a small city at Sea of Japan called Itoigawa in Niigata Prefecture. Super quiet, no foreigners around. Japanese ladies are the best.

Gio, I can’t believe the guys really show up with only one location in mind. I’m getting ready to tire and I’ve been to the Philippines before but I have a list of places that I’m gonna go check out before I make my decision and it’s pretty expensive. I’m gonna start in Angel city It’s on Dumaguete then Davo I’m also looking at maybe cabu i’m definitely going to go to Bhol and then I’ll make my decision as to where I want to stay. I just can’t believe anybody would show up there and say Yep that’s where I’m going and that’s where I’m staying. Makes no sense to me.

It depends mainly on where you purchase your px goods; Imported goods are more expensive in the province compared to Manila; there are grocery places like SnR and Landers; also, there are wet markets where you can buy cheaper products like meat and fish and produce

After watching MANY hours of Vlogger videos I have Narrowed down my list of potential cities Such is Iloilo city, Lipa City, Roxas CIty, Malaybalay & Tagbilarian. To spend time in each before making a final decision. BTW- I spent 2 month's there last year & explored Luzon Island only.

The best retirement cities in the Philippines are Clark Global City , SBMA , Nuvali , Alabang , ( Iloilo and Puerto Princesa are optional ) . They have amenities , facilities , nature , and your complaints will be solved .

Most actually don't cook, would never offer to clean your hotel, condo or clothes and only think of themselves and how they are going to hustle to bring home money for their layabout parents.

You better think twice about dating here in Manila, especially in. Makati and BGC. Western culture has now caught up with it over here and pretty much women over here are looking for the 666. 6 foot tall with a six pack and giving them 6000 pesos a week. Good luck.
@just_another_bot01103 сағат бұрын
I think this may be the costs for older men which in my opinion seems more than reasonable. Im younger and think women in manilla are all over in terms of dating especially since you can find women with very respectable careers and families. I dont believe in giving women an allowance but if you're 50+ and can't give a $500 allowance to the women you want (i know you're not picking an ugly girl) it seems reasonable that a 20 year old woman with good conditions to request certain things. In the u.s. sugar babies make $5k +. They don't seem unreasonable at a hundred dollars a week at all

Sounds like to me two Benefits of a Whore Paid to have sex with you, clean & cook for you without The Title of a Wife! Or...if you're having Sex with Her & you're Pleasing The Maid well, then you bring other Women too your House, you're going to Eat The Food prepared by your Maid, & have Her to Fix Food for other Women? Not a good idea either option!

Its sad that these guys are only meeting these types of filipinas, in my opinion before dating filipinas, know the culture,not the women today because due to time, these women have been adapting to how men have treated them, and not only relationship wise, additionally in my opinion thses guys have inly met 1% of the filipinas, those true good women arent wasy to get they are hidden gems, and difficukt to find, know the dating history of the real filipino culture and youll see how difficult it is to get a yes from a filipina becauae we are also hesitant and afraid of choosing the wrong men to spend the rest of our lives with, since we dont have divorce here and its a life burden choosing the wrong person.
