At Dallas Union Station you can also board the Trinity Rail Express (TRE) to Fort Worth. Both DART and the TRE are bicycle friendly.

The Westmoreland bridge at 15:45 is narrow and has a lot of broken glass. There is a "secret" bridge underneath the main bridge that is much more trendsetter friendly. The secret bridge is easy to find if you stay on the lower levee.
@GravelCyclist3 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, I did notice a path heading parallel beneath the bridge, which in hindsight, I should have taken.

Perfect mini tour of the area I’m planning to ride this weekend. Informative and witty. I’d like to know how that lady replied to your pick up line. 😂 Wondering if regular road tires will work on the Trinity trail gravel. Is it packed down well?

1. I love that Ritchey ti breakaway. I've spotted one on FB for sale, pre-owned, twice. They want $1950. Tempted. 2. Noticed the plaque about JFK's shooting where the word 'allegedly' had been messed with. Any idea what's up with that?
@GravelCyclist3 жыл бұрын
1. The Ti CX Breakaway is the rarest of them all, hopefully the one you are considering is in good condition. I replaced the stock Ritchey case (sold it on eBay) with an S&S Hard Case. That solved the problem of the wheels being knocked out of true in transit, and falls within regulations for size. Mind you, that was before airlines like American removed the oversize bag fee. 2. No idea, but unsurprising these days.

@@GravelCyclist Hi Jom! I will be flying with my bike (hopefully w/American) this November to Jamaica & still need to purchase a case, (Recommendations?). I have always been a "one bike guy" rather than owning multiple bikes however, at 58yrs old I do want to begin flying to different locations to ride. How much easier and/or less hassle is it to travel with a bike with couplers that breaks down like your Ritchey? If worth it, it would be the exception to my "one bike quiver" mindset. Thanks again for all your vids!! :)

In Dallas you can get anything. Hot, cold, mild, windy, dry, humid, rain, thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, sleet, snow, drought, dust storm, flooding, ice storms, dreary days, blue skies you name it it can happen in dallas
@erichanderson1491 Жыл бұрын
Dallas' winter alternates between cold and moderate, almost spring like weather. Spring and Fall are nice, summers of course are hot, so in the summer I do most of my riding at night to avoid the temps but also the sun exposure, which makes high temps much more stressful.
