The Roblox deathrun that was played in this video is a clone using stolen assets, the actual version is just named “Deathrun”, and while it has 360 Million visits at the time I’m writing this, it only has about 150-200 people in it at a time.

It was a legendary game I remember grinding my ass to get the glitch emote in that game and Goo’y gameshow was chef’s kiss best map change my mind and safety first theme was beautiful while being incredibly difficult.

Fun fact: the “Robloxian Life” I think is a copy of another game that is ALSO dead, but still accessible I met my best friend on it six years ago and we’re still as close as ever today and the last time we played it was completely dead with only a few bots that would spawn in and out

4:55 I remember playing Hello Roblox Neighbour. The only reason why it has 0 players was because of that force filtering update somewhere in 2019. Which caused every old game to break.

Good comment, I used to be a part of the HN roblox community for a while. What you said broke was mainly the meshes in these games. All of these meshes came from the same small amount of people. Wasn't till 2022 where developer, nether_strider. Uploaded every model from the pre alpha through alpha 2, which caused more games to rise, Every single game used the same house model from his model. And again, in late 2023, around August, almost every mesh became broken, which broken means that the mesh is still there, but its texture is gone, appearing to look invisible. Now nether_strider, the guy that uploaded all the models, has literally wiped out any trace of hello neighbor in his profile.

i think a big issue is if a GOOD roblox game is dead, you have to have already played it to know it exists. and even then it might casually have like 10 or so players on a good day because, if its an actual playable game on roblox, people play it. there was an old game i used to play when i was like 9, that was a PVE fantasy game about doge, its been dead in the water for 5 years but still has a flow of 20 or so players daily. if something is worthy of playing, it will be. theres a reason all the games featured in the video are dead, they dont even have the dignity of some lua coding work.

You should’ve played a game just galled “Glitch” which was made in 2011 and is a horror game where you collect 8 gems and try to not get killed by a glitch that you locate by a glitch meter which displays messages on how close he is, it’s pretty dead

the roblox deathrun game you played is actually a clone using stolen assets! the real game is just called 'Deathrun' and was created back in 2015 it was much more popular (currently at over 360M visits) but the playerbase has died down substantially within recent years (there are only around 150 active players as i'm typing this) the game was made only a year before i started playing roblox so i had have a decent amount of playtime on it! gotta say i miss that era of roblox games. it feels like the front page nowadays is just flashy thumbnails for the same repetitive grind game. nothing sticks out when it's all bright colour and big numbers, and that sucks! it feels hard to find anything worthwhile unless you're looking at recommendations from outside of roblox though i'll admit i'm absolutely looking back through the lens of nostalgia! fair chance things were basically the same back then with the difference of me being much younger anyway i completely wandered off topic while typing uhhh

This video reminds me of a game I played in 2021 called "i like ya cut g", it was a game where you spawned in a world with a hammer that played the "i like ya cut g" sound effect, and you explored the map and killed other players to get better hammers, and there are secrets to find in the game. Unfortunately, it has a 47% dislike ratio, and the creator of the game discontinued it and got terminated.

I remember playing Roblox Deathrun(or something like it) for the 2020 Egg Hunt. I had fun playing that game and it absolutely sucks that it became so obscure nobody would ever continue to play it. There were a lot of other games promoted in events such as the Egg Hunts, The Hunt: 1st Edition, and many others that have fallen off significantly since they were last promoted. Another thing worth noting: The UI for Dino Race(one of the games you covered in this video) is actually copied and pasted from a lot of the other games the devs of it made. Namely with Lumberjack Simulator(idk if it had 1 or 2 in the title) and Pull A Sword, which both played exactly the same and were both featured in The Hunt.

yo bro that “Roblox Deathrun” game you found is a copy and paste of an actual fun and decently active game called “Deathrun🏃‍♂️” by Team Deathrun, pretty sure they even stole the shop too lmao, Edit: that three bridge thing in the among us obby is kinda a staple to the generic Roblox obby genre of being insanely non-unique and easy to deal with (sometimes they have more bridges but they’re still easy) as for some reason none of them have realized that the camera cannot pass through solid objects so moving the camera with the mouse and moving it through the bridges until you find the one that the camera can’t get past lmao

Battleboards. essentially a competitive board game within roblox with like half a dozen maps and gamemodes with some maps having their own stage gimmicks. its not monopoly length or anything, rounds last like 3 minutes.

It's a shame that old games like Deathrun, Epic Minigames, Sky Ranch Tycoon/Skyblock Tycoon, TNT Run, etc, died out just from how old they are. I checked the real deathrun (not the one from the video) and it only has 150 players as of writing this. It's really sad because they're all great games, but they got lost to time and failed in the new roblox meta that is "cash grab game = front page" or "recent trend = popular". Edit: some other og games that died are Flood Escape 2, Elemental Battlegrounds, Make a Cake, Pizza Factory Tycoon, or Pool Tycoon 4.

Another contender to this list is Flood Escape 2, a craze in the late 2010s, spawning fanmade games (that were great) between 2017 - 2019. After covid, it fell off considerably, and doesn't even reach more than 1000 players at a time.

Unironically 'Hello Roblox Neighbor' is pretty fun if you get a lobby with actual ppl in it. It's just the typical: Spawn, Shoot, Die, Repeat typa game. Plus the bushes offer a pretty broken cheese mechanic bc they're invincible. However, you can hide in them and occasionally pop out and snag a couple kills from them. But other than that, it's a mediocre game that's good as a late night endeavor with your friends

There was this game called Feet Tycoon, a low quality meme tycoon game that barely worked that me and my friends found one day. We became absolutely obsessed with it, and I have spread feet tycoon to every single friend group I’ve ever played Roblox with The game had like barely any players when we found it, and my most recent play through it’s got thousands of visits now, and I like to believe we single handedly created the player base for that game

i think they were stupid to use a character that doesnt have hype or attracts attetion they literally used the Bron The Dinossaur from the VHS that was in 2023 i think i.e. they used something out of hype and ended up going bankrupt, I mean, they were original in using a character other than CatNap, Mommy Long-Legs or Huggy Wuggy, I understand they are overused, but if you want to attract kids with Poppy Playtime atleast use a character that is at the hype. also the Bron from the game thumbnails is ridiculous tbh.
