There’s just something about watching your videos that keeps me anxiously looking forward to the next one. I’ve still not completely caught up on earlier videos , but your travel adventures are something that both my wife and I can sit down and enjoy together. Places that I have been before and places that I have yet to see. Thank you for taking the time to share your adventures with all of us.

😂 Luckily we went in! They are in pretty good shape, aren't they? Good enough for a little rattler to live under (or so we think after listening to the audio over and over afterwards) Yikes!

Hopefully you're still out there. A must see is the Death Valley Mine, just east of Cima. There you'll see forests of Joshua Trees, not burned. I spent 2 nights there, never saw a soul. Awesome buildings, the incline shaft with buckets , and if you walk south, you'll find the can dumps, and another incline shaft. I was there in May. It is well worth the drive. Take Care.

Unfortunately, due to the way we have to film we were out there a few months ago. HOWEVER, we have been to Death Valley Mine in the past and filmed there as well. Was one of our favorites. 😄

Wow, when I think of an old desert mine, that Evening Star Mine is what I think of. I'm surprised its only 80-90 years old. I'm with you on not climbing those steps. The farther I get from a hospital, the less risks I'm willing to take lol.

Absolutely a wise rule to live by. It's fun having a little adventure but no so much when getting first aid is hours away. 😅

Nice video! Keep it up! That’s an ore hopper at the top of that head frame not a crusher. No drive mechanisms and crushers are made out of steel. The ore is dumped into it and then funneled down to the bottom where it’s collected and transported elsewhere. There may have been a crusher nearby but those things are hauled away and repurposed if possible.

This place had no graffiti. The decor in the shacks was unique “if you like that sort of thing”. So Glen liked the clown in the Goldome mill but no nods to the mask and saw in the shack? 😊 A great venture to add to the library. Your hobby is turning historical as things change. We have photos of the old car in the prettified forest when it still had a steering wheel and the twin arrows when they were still standing. Seems some landmarks will all but be erased in the future. Thanks for the catalog of change.🦖🤡&🪶🚀

We kind of have the same outlook on history changing things and documenting them while they still exist. We've also seen things disappear from times we visited places before filming to now. Of course, sometimes they change for the better, such as Vulture City. Years ago, that was a mostly dilapidated forgotten about old town.

The stone and concrete structure is a powder magazine for storing explosives. A powder magazine is required for mines using explosives and a mining operation could be shut down if it didn’t have one.

Hey, just wondering if you have ever visited the Delamar and Helene mines in Nevada? I think you'd really like them. Interesting ruins, a graveyard near Helene, and you can walk quite a ways back into the Helene mine, seems quite safe, I have done it a few times.

We actually have a great number of paper maps. Thankful for online maps as it's not always the easiest thing to keep one's attention on while also operating two GoPros and concentrating on making a video for an audience to enjoy. 😅
