I lived in Illinois, 50 minutes from Devon for 3.5 years. Chicago is a beautiful city no doubt but too crowded for me. I moved back to east coast 5 years ago. 90% of my family still lives near Chicago and always trying to emotionally blackmail me to move back near them. Enjoy your stay

Spinzer has gotten spoiled over the time. They jacked the prices and food quality went down. Used to eat there a lot while back. And now it’s not safe. My van was stolen 2 visits ago. That was 5 minutes from Devon rd. It was recovered with broken windows.

@@Xameer772 Houston is better than Chicago for Pakistanis. Weather in Houston is warmer like Karachi, no state income tax in Texas. houses are cheaper, bigger and newer in Houston. Cost of living, petrol etc is cheaper in Houston. Chicago only has Devon, Houston has bigger spread out desi area. Houston even has more halal restaurants and better food.

You have to clean the common areas, and that is what HOA (Home Owners Association fees) in first-world countries is for, this concept is in the USA, Europe, Dubai, Moscow, and some Arab countries...Pakistanis are not used to it. so they are Angry about why they have to pay for Clean Sewers, Parks, and Streets in Bahria Town...Why do they have to pay for Parks, Why do they have to pay for someone else's kids, Playing in beautiful Lawns and Gardens...Pakistanis are used to living with Broken sewer lines, Broken roads, Walled homes, and smelly toilet water in front of their expensive homes.....That's why Bahria town is Different. Bahria Town is the ONLY first World City(after Islamabad) in Pakistan. Rich Overseas Pakistanis are sending Pak 50 billion dollars a year ($35 billion a yr via Banks) and buying Great living for their relatives in Bahria.35% Pakistanis (80 million) are Rich ...Most countries do not even have 80 million ppl......Pakistani Farhan from the USA..Pakistan zindabaad....We need more cities like BahrIa Town.....
