I've just watched this as part of my new Slow Sunday ritual . Slow cooker is on ( yes I know it's still summer ) I have just ordered some of the packing cubes way ahead of next years holiday ! We are off to Scotland next year . Hoping to go back to Glasgow & Lanark. Also back to the Kelpies. I saw them in the evening but would like to go back in the day to go inside. Also back to The Hill House in Helensburgh , designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh. It's boxed in for repair at the moment, but that means you get to see the house from every angle, higher than the roof at one point ! Inside is just as interesting.

The hill is just called Arthurs Seat not King Arthurs seat lol Many people believe it's good luck to rub Greyfriars Bobbys nose, but the council try to discourage this as its made the nose shiny due to damage caused by this! Great to see Stacy, Dilly and the rest of the crew!

The temporary seating at Edinburgh Castle is for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo which is a fabulous show every year. With a military theme, there are marching bands and dancers from all over the world taking part.

I usually try to make a cup of tea, when I see, that dear Mr. Carrington has uploaded a new video. Just in order to raise it and make a sip, when our gracious host does the same with his cuppa. I really liked this brief visit to Scotland. The assortment of goods in the taxfree has reminded me about the fact, that in old days one had to use both thick tweed jackets, big tartan scarves & a pocket size bottle of whisky to keep oneself warm in a typical Scottish weather.

The seating over the wall is very scary. Looks like the acupuncture my have hit a small vein and left the bruise. Its 2:20 am here in Texas I am awake because Saturday I fell and bruised my tail bone and can't get comfortable.

A sort of DIY on packing "cubes" ... When I travel I pack my undies in a gallon Ziploc food storage bag, socks in another, etc. I just roll them up to squeeze out the air and zip them up. They're great for saving space in the suitcase, keep things organized while I'm living out of the luggage. Easy to find what you're looking for because they are transparent. I also pack a few empty ones to stash dirty laundry in to keep it away from the clean stuff. Obviously they are too small for large clothing items, but I can fit a week's worth of undies in one, a week of socks in another. They are very economical, and I always have a supply in my cupboards. Thanks for showing us around Edinburgh. When I visited I thought the castle looked like it grew out if the rocky hill, or like it was carved out of the hilltop. Beautiful! Thanks.

Hi Mr C great vlog again I really enjoyed it. Lantern looks fabulous. Have you seen the Greyfriers Bobby film it's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. I had Pimms for the first time yesterday with my Daughter and a few friends where I live as we organised a strawberries 🍓 and cream afternoon and watched the Wimbledon Ladies final. I made the scones to have with it. Love the new vinted jacket it's very you, almost looks like a leather in the larger squares on the TV. Hope you enjoyed your relaxing day and got all your jobs done successfully. ❤

Again, another lovely video from you. You never disappoint. Here in Texas, USA I am just trying to stay cool. We are heading into our third week of temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit with the heat index at or over 110 degrees. So needless to say outdoor activities, unless it involves water, are not recommended. There is some short-term relief next week for a few days in the low to mid 90's but then the 100's return for quite awhile. We have not had any rain where I live in over one month and are on water restrictions. No watering of lawns at all. Flower beds and pots by a hose 1 to 2 times a week only. And as much as I would like to say this is unusual for us, it isn't. This is pretty much a typical summer in south central Texas. This is one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much, especially in the summer. Everything is so green and beautiful where you live. All of the lovely and gorgeous flowers. Makes me jealous.

Thanks for taking us around Edinburgh it's so lovely . I've always wanted to visit grey friars Kirk to see the grave of Bobby , but we didn't have enough time last time . There's so many beautiful things to see in Edinburgh hard to fit it all in on a short stay. The lamp looks lovely and the shacket such a bargain. So glad you got your flight home Catherine from dainty dairies didn't have your luck on her break away.

If you like seeing Edinburgh you might like a channel called Clan Broonford, it's a native husband and wife team who share the sights and sounds of our city. They show the best tourist spots as well as the lesser known hidden gems, the accent is easy enough to understand too which is probably quite handy. 😂 Hopefully other people can share channels from the rest of Scotland to give you fine folks who aren't able to make it over here a chance to see oor wee country. Hope everyone reading this is well, aw the best fae Edinburgh! 😁❤😊
