Thanks for giving me a pre-taste of my annual visit to my old home haunt of Glasgow! There are some long streets in the west of the city - Dumbarton Road has about 20 charity shops ending at the Museum and Art Galleries. Then Byres Road with another at least 10 charity shops! Leading through the university area towards the Botanic Gardens. Thank you.

thankyou for another fab blog and scotland beautiful.good to treat yourself to those fab new sandals as life to dam short and im lucky to be here when many who had first haemorgh are not plus im lucky to have one eye sight to.i was born with a rare artervenouse malformation of blood vessels back of my eye and conected to the front left part of my brain.this effects blood flow and london neuro hospital could not take it out.other symptoms that effect my health to.but i won,t bore you anymore.but at 63 yrs this month july i say treat yourself plus never feel guilty when doing so.ps love love your cats and althrough i love dogs to .i always been drawn to cats.cats eyes are the windows to they beautiful souls.cats are also very intelligent .❤😊

Nice to see you in my home city, Glasgow is an amazing place and you did it justice 😊 The sign on the wall in Sloan’s that said “are you asking” is because it used to be a place where people would go dancing and a Glasgow phrase was “are you dancing” usually by the gentleman and the ladies would reply with “are you asking” 😂 Loved your take on the Duke of Wellington statue, It really is iconic to Glasgow 😂 Also there’s loads of charity shops in the West end of the city, absolutely loads of them. Hi Iwan! Such a nice and interesting vlog! It was interesting to hear you mention Nicholas Fairford! How you find the time to watch him is amazing! "A visit to Nicholas" would be a great vlog that you each could tape. You making the call and asking him to Host you and his getting ready for a guest! Visit a favorite pub of his. Find a great place for s meal. And a walk around the many parks there. Something to consider. You look very well and rested in this Vlog. I'd be really upset if airlines cancelled a delayed flight. l hope they paid for your overnight stay and transportation. You seem to take it all in stride. I go very often to a Mexican restaurant and l had the habit of dinking a Coke but it's too much sugar! So l now have Soda water with fresh Lime juice and a slice in the glass instead. I get the fizz but, not the sugar. It's very refreshing to drink in the Summer. Hope your week will be much smoother! Great Vlog! Your new slider sandals are very nice. I’m so glad that you went to Scotland. One of my favorite television series is filmed in Glasgow and Edinburgh. I have never missed one episode of it since it has been on and that’s Outlander. Diana Gabaldon is a phenomenal writer. I was so happy when the series got picked up by stars. I really enjoy the two main actors, Sam Ewan and Katrina Balf. The very last series has started which is sad for me. I love good British and Scottish movies more than I like American made movies. I always have! Maybe it has something to do with my ancestry since I am Scottish, Irish, and welsh. I hope you are lucky and find the couch you are looking for. It took me three years to find what I wanted for my new living room furniture and then last week my husband found the perfect high top table where four people can eat and watch television at the same time in the living room. I’m glad I took my time though because, I didn’t just settle for something but, I waited until I saw the furniture that had everything I absolutely loved about it. It’s been very hot here also along with a lot of humidity. Our hurricane season for the Atlantic side of the United States is from June 1 through November 30 but the temperatures in June were more like the temperatures we get in August and September, which are when we get the worst heat and the worst storms. The weather stations are saying that the El Niño is not as strong as it should be and the Pacific Ocean got a very late start to it’s hurricane season and we’re not getting near the amount of Sahara sand dust that we should be getting. They’re all saying it’s going to be a very horrible and strange season. I am not looking forward to it! I still say you should get a small window air conditioner. At least you could stay cool when it does get this hot in London. Thanks for showing us around in Scotland. The castle is absolutely gorgeous. I hope you have a wonderful week. We met up with family from Scotland and America and spent a fabulous time visiting all the landmarks in these beautiful locations. Hi Iwan, what a busy few days you have had and then to top it all your flight being cancelled too! It was great to be with you and thanks for taking us along for the ride. Loved seeing around it all, and even managed a few charity shops to throw in too. I got tired just watching you, you must have been totaly knackered upon your return and I bet your kittens missed you loads as well. A doggy wedding? Heard it all now, so funny but in a sweet way. We had a couple chilly days in Somerset this week too, socks and slippers back on and even my cardigan until suddenly the temps went back up to 27 so sandals back on and cardigan off, so go figure eh? Have you thought of a sofa bed or even a recliner sofa? best of both worlds then and a spare bed for guests! Glad you enjoyed Glasgow. It was built on a grid pattern like the New York map you have which is why we have such long streets and avenues. Argyll Street used to be the longest street in Europe. You need to come back and visit the other areas of the city and of course the Barras our flea market for your thrifting and the "patter" and our lovely parks and museums. Good morning from Barcelona, Iwan! Here the video comes up at 9:00 am, local time. If I'm at home in the morning I have the routine of having my breakfast (late for me) while watching your video and Luke's as well. I would like to see your TV program at least once. If anyone knows how to watch from overseas, I'd appreciate the hint. Autumn hauls! In the south of Spain they are around 48 degrees in some places.
