I know Linda! We felt so special to leave with so many of her amazing fruit. Ate like kings for days haha The country is in such a better place now than it has been in a very long time. We had an amazing time there both times we visited. Can't wait to get back!

Hi I’m one of the survivors from El Salvador civil war, I was just only 10 years old when the war started, few people were lucky to escape on time before all the bad things started, one of mud older brother was one of them, we being separated when we were kids, but humans right were violent for both groups left and right, life was nothing on those days, I wish I can tell you more but is a long story

Gifting and being welcoming is huge part of the Salvadoran culture it does not matter if you are poor or rich we will always share what little we have with someone who needs it. There is even a saying in El Salvador “donde comen dos comen cuatro” or something along those lines, which loosely translates to where two people eat, four more can be fed. I hope you come back to El Salvador. I truly enjoy your videos.

That song was aired often in the Radio Venceremos daily programing, which was located around Perquin. I enjoyed this upload very much.

What a beautiful area north of San Miguel! Reminds me of cerro el pital north of San Salvador at the border of Honduras. I ran that through my translator and what came out was the izquierdistas were fighting to steal the stuff of the people whose families had worked hard to earn. Because it's not fair, and they deserve stuff too, but they shouldn't have to dedicate themselves to study or build networks or put in the effort to give more than they get compensated for in goods and services in order to build community wealth to get wealthy themselves like those evil ultra great capitalistas and their demoralizing competition always innovating new ways to generate more wealth. How disgusting. Of course one can review how things went for the country after the izquierdistas got their way, it got to where their people felt the risk to their lives was less to leave everything behind and walk a couple thousand miles through foreign lands to request asylum in a land historically free but suffering increasing onslaught of their own izquierdistas from within. Such are the oddities of life. It's only recently that El Salvador has returned to become the warm welcoming place that it should be, and that's props to their presidente Bukele, the first in a long time to have the love for his country and fortitude to arrest and jail the terroristas izquierdistas who were extorting and killing the contributors in order to commandeer their free stuff, which made the place unlivable and unvisitable. Anyway, that's what my translator spit out. I know that's a topic you won't discuss here knowing you have audience from both factions. But when it's looked at from both sides, that's what's seen. Anyway. Fun video.
