Many you guys got a year out of my left eye with that one. I was once stuck after trying to help someone else get stuck about 10hrs of digging in Bombay beach California. I literally heard you’re gonna get stuck and it’ll be worth it. As a result I now have some of my dearest friends I call family. And a new fojnd respect for that type of clay mud that can make you wanna cry and give up on life lol. You guys are absolutely making guides that are life altering even for those of us watching. I literally make time In my day to be inspired for my trip there next year. While I pray I never get Stuck again especially since my rig weighs 11,600-12k haha yoire Smiles and Swingset ending are Like that of a box office movie which leaves everyone sitting in the theater waiting for the bloopers

Your guy's channel is awesome. Some tips: 1. If you use a kinetic rope, you need KINETIC energy. That cops truck needed to backup 10-15 feet and jerk you out. Watch Matt's off-road recovery for explanations. 2. Winching off of 1 car almost never works. 2 cars like you did is the key. Hope you have a snatch block to get a little more torque next time. 3. Burying your spare probably would have worked as someone said above, but lots of work. 4. Why have lockers if they aren't wire hahaha. Hope you fixed that. Keep going, I can't wait to see you in Honduras where I am from!

Hey Albert, thanks for being here! I tried telling the cop he need to yank the truck but it got lost in translation... The chevy did try and back up and actually pull. It moved the truck but was unsuccessful. The language barrier definitely made things more interesting! Burying the tire crossed my mind and I almost did it until the second truck came and we had a better anchor. Honestly I had intended to wire them up at many stages in the trip, it just got lost in the sauce of everything else! Cheers!!

@@ToyotaWorldRunners for next time: Tienes que arrancarlo duro! sirve como una banda de hule, la cuerda usa la fuerza del arranque para sacar al carro. No se preocupe de la cuerda o su carro porque el hule lo da suave. Retrocede como 3 o 4 metros y dale a 20km por hora. Dale come 4 o 5 veces, si parece que la troca está moviendo sigue corriendo sin parar hasta que está sacado. Translation: you have to yank it hard! It works like a rubber band the rope uses the force from the yank to pull out the car. You don't need to worry about the rope or your car, because the rope uses the rubberbanding to make it soft. Backup like 3 or 4 meters and yank it at 20kmph. Do it like 4 or 5 times and if the truck starts moving keep going until the truck is out MAKE SURE ITS ON A SECURE SPOT ON THEIR TRUCK 😉

Good evening from the still smoking south Okanagan. We're still here - so far - watching your travels. That clay looks worse than some of the "loon poop" clay we'd get stuck in on the Saskatchewan prairies as a kid. Winching is something I've learned to not love either, but they have saved some unplanned walking a few times for sure. Safe travels you two.

Hello, you can use the spare tire as an anchor, you dig a big hole and buried it, another tip, don't spin the wheels while winching

Great content as always! Glad you were able to get help from the locals. If ever in a similar situation, you can run your winch line or tow line over your spare tire to pull your rig up as well as out as it rolls. Even put one of your Max Trax under the spare so it doesn't get shoved down into the mud. Keep up the great work. Love following along with your adventures.

Time to wire up those lockers and maybe take some recovery technique classes. Please tell me that snatch strap or toe strap wasn’t hooked up to a tow ball😬 . Snatch block and a double line pull and double up your anchor point. Also recommend looking into a dead man anchor for these type of situations.

I know I’m 5 months late but have you wired up your diff lockers since this happened? I have a locked 80 series and it’s very nice to be able to turn the dial to lock the axles up.
