Fun real world fact, the original, non-bridge mothman sighting, was confirmed to have been a bird, not a crane but a snowy owl. Snowy owls are large enough that their head is the same size as a persons, so after hitting it with their car, people assumed it was the upper body of a human(oid) with wings on its shoulders. A few days a hunter found an injured and particularly large snowy owl. Owl eyes reflect glowing red when light shines on them.

Real world fact. I'm not the biggest believer of cryptids but I'm from Puerto Rico and in 2022 4 of my moms quails were killed in the exact same circumstances as the chupacabra. They had no blood and had puncture wounds, plus a hole in their chest. They had no missing meat. Of that encounter a rooster survived, he was spooked for days until he himself disappeared disappeared and we never found his body

Why is it whenever people talk about Fallout Cyrtids they never discuss the Wanamingo?

In Fallout 2 they're believed to be aliens, but they're called wanamingos after the mine the inhabit. I have no idea what the wanamingo in Fallout 76 is supposed to be or why it has the same name. There's no lore in the game or a real life cryptid to talk about either, so that's probably why it's never mentioned.
