Exploring File Types, Part 4: Zip Files

Zipped files are one or more files that have been compressed and grouped together in a specific file type. A Zip file is smaller in size, and more easily sent via digital means, like email. Zip format is often used for digitally sending and downloading fonts, patterns, digital artwork, blueprints, and any other type of large files. I may also be used for keeping related files of differing formats together for transport, or for storing files in archives.
In this video, we will be demonstrating how to create Zip files and how to extract your files for viewing and editing.
