I spent a couple of days in hakone a few years ago now. Beautiful place. Took the romance car of the train service there. Would liked to have ridden a bike.

Thank you Jeff, great travelogue, Japan is so interesting! I’m a bit keen on the Z650rs , in Australia it comes as a learner restricted 51 hp model, still nice enough.

Thanks, Paul! I appreciate that, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Kawasaki did a real nice job with this bike I think

That’s Australia for you. All the jp bike importers here are too lazy to bring in the full range. Bmw, triump do it, but not the japs. When I lived in Asia they would bring in 1 unit if it meant a sale.

Well done! What do you use to record? Mostly to keep the wind away...
@jeffinjapan2549 Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I use a GoPro 9 with the Media Mod on it. That Media Mod comes with a dead cat that wraps around the built in mic. It's still far from perfect, but it cuts out a lot of the wind and it's a lot better than the recordings I did without it on.

@@jeffinjapan2549 thank you so much. How are you with that go pro? Pros and cons?
@jeffinjapan2549 Жыл бұрын
@@alcyoneband I've heard people complain about the GoPro 10 and 11 overheating, but my 9 hasn't really had that issue. Once in a while when it's recording there's a hiccup and it shuts down, but luckily that only happens once in a great while. Overall I enjoy it, and it's been a great camera to film with. The GoPro 12 will be coming out soon, and I'm tempted to get it, but at the same time my 9 has treated me pretty well. I may keep it as a second camera.

@@jeffinjapan2549 thanks. What about battery and things like that? And you can put an external mic?
@jeffinjapan2549 Жыл бұрын
@@alcyoneband It depends on how much recording you'll do at a time, but for what I do 2 fully charged batteries gets me through a few hours of recording my riding videos. The batteries in the newer model GoPros can last even longer I've heard. Rode seems to be the brand that a lot of people recommend when it comes to attaching an external mic to the Media Mod on the GoPro. I haven't purchased one yet, but I'm planning to at some point
