Let's check out and explore the Heybrook Lookout which is located in the Cascade region in Washington.
First time doing a lookout hike and it was a fantastic experience! Heybrook lookout wasn't too challenging and is very beginner friendly for those of you looking to try a snow hike or winter hike!

Heybrook Lookout trail is about 2.6 miles roundtrip hike with an elevation gain of about 850ft. You will most likely just need some micro-spikes for the hike and some poles if you prefer to hike with hiking poles, but otherwise micro spikes are just fine.
One of the cool things about Heybrook Lookout is that during the warmer seasons, you can make a reservation to camp at the top of the lookout! Not sure how that works with Covid-19, but I think it should still be fine but will definitely be limited in spots!

Parking at Heybrook Lookout can be challenging. When we were making our way up towards the entrance to the trailhead, there were literally only 4 spots available. We ended up having to park a little bit south (~1-mile extra walk) to park in a random and just made our way towards the trailhead.
So if you're looking for a nice beginner friendly snow hike, definitely come by and check out Heybrook Lookout!
