Ngl I loved all the Aussie talk this episode, always a thrill when someone remembers we exist haha. If you guys were worried about the emus, you should look up ‘Cassowary’ - they’re similar to emus, but they live in the tropics and have a big horn thing on their head. If one of them gets you in the guts you won’t be in good shape. Also dingoes are pretty small and dog-looking, but they’re really feral. We saw one once when we were in the desert, and it tried to go after mum but we yelled at it and it ran off. Kangaroos are definitely a pest even though they’re native, like deer. You’re allowed to shoot them most places with a permit, but that doesn’t happen much cause no one has guns. They are really dangerous too, especially the males, cause they can sit back on their tails and kick you in the guts with their 5cm claws. Sometimes they chase a dog into a dam and stop it getting out til it drowns, happened to someone we knew - could have been another creative end to Jake’s childhood dogs had he lived in Australia. Jake, as far as your ‘that stings’ joke goes, I’ll leave it up to you, but he’s not an obscure celebrity for us, he’s kind of our hero, probably BECAUSE you guys know who he is. That might make it all the better though who knows. Lastly, Sidewalk > footpath Truck > Ute Aluminum > Aluminium Vitamin > vytamin Basil > Bazil No > sometimes naor but more often nah

Ha, I’m gonna get serious here ;) To try to understand the psyche of these BYU students, they are not being asked which choice is ok and which one is not (and proof they’re all racist or not), they are being asked which bad thing would you choose over the other. The president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has said repeatedly that racism is a serious sin so that’s not in question for them but what is highly emphasized and understood in the church’s teachings is that sex is sacred and messing with it outside of marriage is making a mockery of the godly power to procreate and one of the most serious sins. So when given the choice of stopping an abuse of God’s power (sex outside of marriage) or hurtful prejudice I can see the moral dilemma. Also they’re getting asked about things on the honor code so I can see the pressure of being recorded on the spot (and then showing all the most awkward answers).
